So--I love reading and writing, but I haven't been brave enough to post anything yet. I'll read pretty much anything, but I won't get more than a few sentences in if it's not well written. I love Harry Potter, and pretty much any ship there works--as long as it's done well. I would say most of my favorites fit that, but probably there are a few from years ago--those are total crap, but what can I say, I was thirteen. So, anyway, my favorites are pretty much all that's here . . . . enjoy!
Harry Potter is all about confronting fears, finding inner strength and doing what is right in the face of adversity . . . . Twilight is about how important it is to have a boyfriend.
Loki: What have I to fear?
Tony Stark: The Avengers. It's what we call ourselves, sort of like a team. "Earth's Mightiest Heroes" type thing.
Loki: Yes, I've met them.
Tony Stark: Yeah. Takes us a while to get any traction, I'll give you that one but, let's do a head count here: Your brother, the demi-god; a super soldier, a living legend who kind of lives up to the legend; a man with...breath-taking anger management issues; a couple of master assassins, and you, big fella, you've managed to piss off every single one of them.
Loki: That was the plan.
Tony Stark: Not a great plan. When they come, and they will, they'll come for you.
Loki: I have an army.
Tony Stark: We have a Hulk.
Loki: I thought the beast had wandered off.
Tony Stark: You're missing the point. There's no throne. There is no version of this where you come out on top. Maybe your army comes, and maybe it's too much for us, but it's all on you. Because if we can't protect the Earth, you can be damned well sure we'll avenge it.
: I gotta say, it's an honour to meet you, officially. I sort of met you, I mean, I watched you while you were sleeping. I mean, I was, I was present while you were unconscious, from the ice. You know it's really just a, just a huge honour to have you on board.
: [to crowd] Kneel before me. I said... KNEEL! Is not this simpler? Is this not your natural state? It's the unspoken truth of humanity that you crave subjugation. The bright lure of freedom diminishes your life's joy in a mad scramble for power. For identity. You were made to be ruled. In the end, you will always kneel.
Tony Stark: Doth Mother know you weareth her drapes?
: I love you.
Gandalf: A wizard is never late, Frodo Baggins. Nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to.
Arwen: From the ashes, a fire shall be woken. A light from the shadow shall spring. Renewed shall be blade that was broken. The crownless again shall be king.
