Author has written 18 stories for Star Wars, Vampires, Naruto, Greek Mythology, and Rise of the Guardians.
Hello to all.
I go by many a name. You can call me Magical. I have been called Mistress. Some have graciously bowed and called me Madame, but the name has always been the same: I am Sarai. I have written for years without ever seeking readers. I have operated in several high class, novel form, on-line role-plays. I'm currently working on a book which appears will never finish itself (I tend to get distracted by new and exciting ideas); however, recently I have begun to yearn for a certain knowledge: what will strangers think of my writing? Therefore I have joined with the mass of writers and hope to get the few, the bold, and the brave who will venture into my works and tell me what they think. I will be more than ecstatic to hear any thought.
-If you like what I write... I ask that you leave a review. It doesn't have to be long, just let me know brief thoughts... or go wild (I don't care which). If you don't like what write, PLEASE let me know! Tell me what I did wrong, tear my story apart, I prefer to get something rather than nothing. That way I can improve. I do this so my writing can get stronger.-
As always I am gracious for any and all readers. I plan to update each of my stories as soon as I can, but I like long chapters (don't ask me why)... so it takes me a decent amount of time to add new pages. I also have a problem of flitting from project to project (so you may see new stories appear before new chapters), but I will try, with my utmost strength, to delegate and retain constant vigilance.
Me, as a Reviewer:
I, Sarai, do solemnly swear to review all the fics I read, regardless of the number of reviews, its age, or anything else. I am a part of the review revolution.
I'm a really hard person to please. Meaning, I will probably not favorite your story (I don't do so lightly). Please don't take offense to this. HOWEVER, if I read your story: I will review your story... it is this simple. I will not waste my time reading something I don't enjoy. Thus, if I enjoy it... I'm going to give you the time to put my thoughts down. This does not mean I'm going to give you meaningless praise. On the contrary: I give hard critique. I print out the stories I read (because this allows me to jot down notes and thoughts while I read along), I circle things that don't work... and make notes on things I like. I will always, and I stress this ALWAYS, be completely neutral in my reviews. I will not be mean, but I will not be glowingly enraptured... because I'm trying to give you a decent con-crit. Once I've initially read your story and reviewed, my consecutive reviews will most likely be more praise-filled (if your story it going to be updated). I almost always subscribe to story alerts in order to see how your writing/plot progresses.
I am more than happy to do a review swap with other writers. Just review one of my stories and put Review Swap at the top of your review. If you have a specific story you would like me to review, then send me a private message with the title of your story. I will make certain to reciprocate within 48 hours.

Project Notes (newest notes are at the top)
(2/20/13) I know! People probably think that I have abandoned my stories! I have not. Unfortunately, I auditioned for and got a lead role in a production of MacBeth! Yes, Sarai has many hobbies and loves in life. Writing and Theater are but two of them. Sadly, I have learned that they do not mix well. When I get home from rehearsals (which I have every night practically), I don't feel very creative. I think this is because all of my creative energies have gone into creating my on-stage persona. Doing that for three to five hours a day... it's exhausting! Never fear though, because after March 3, I'm done with MacBeth and I'll be focused on my writing yet again. If you haven't noticed, I started two new stories. Trinity is going to be a tentative project, and Sound and Fury i will probably finish quickly because it is a retelling of MacBeth! (you get inspiration to write from where ever it comes) I will be focused fully on ACOS once MacBeth is done. I promise all of my fans that it will take priority. Once ACOS is done, then I will finish Sasuke and the Kyuubi. After that... PFYL takes the front seat and will go back to daily updates until I finish it. I will work on Trinity and Sound and Fury (which will now be called SaF) on and off between my main focuses. I'm also planning to do another studio 69 one-shot. If anyone is interested in that, let me know. I'll move it up on my list if there is a demand.
(1/27/13) Wow! Time really does fly, doesn't it? I know, Play for Your Life is on the back-burner. I hate it, but honestly there's very little I can do about it. My main goals right now are to finsh A Change of Spirit and Sasuke and the Kyuubi. Both of those stories have solidified endings, and I can see a light at the end of the tunnel. I want to finish them, so that I can have time to work on something like PFYL, which really just looks like it is going to continue FOREVER! (ok, it won't but... that's how I feel) Also, I have been plagued by this new idea, an original story that I'm going to set in the Naruto-verse (using the characters as place holders to help me write it). I really like the premise of this idea, so the time I would spend writing on PFYL... I'm using to make the outlines, character bios, and actually start writing this new idea. Once I have more information on it, I'll make certain to let you know.
(1/12/13) Ok, so I've been sick. Before that, I got back from vacation and a... visitor came to see me. I spent an entire week entertaining him, and the bastard made me sick. So, yes, needless to say I am WAY behind. In order to take a load off of myself, I've cut PFYL down to once a week updates. ACOS will remain on its schedule of Wednesdays and Saturdays. As for Sasuke and the Kyuubi... I will continue it when I am 100% well. So probably an update in a week or so. Just wanted to let people know what was going on.
(12/24/12) Vacation is going great! I saw Book of Mormon last night, even though people have raved about it. I was kind of unimpressed. Sue me! I'm more of a Sondheim gal! Still, you aren't reading my notes to find out about my tastes in musicals. I have cleaned up my profile. All the notes from 09 to 11 have been removed (seeing as how they really aren't that important). I've gotten about five chapters ahead in Play for Your Life. I'm about to start a big writing haul on A Change of Spirit when I get back from vacation. I'll be doing several days of a break period where I churn out chapters for that. Once I get everything ready for the New Years arc in that story, then I'm going to focus on finishing Sasuke and the Kyuubi. It's going to be a 15 chapter story, and I've just posted chapter 4 today. It should be quick to finish up, then I can focus primarily on PFYL and ACOS. I have also started editing the earlier chapters of ACOS to make certain that the writing is up to par, and to fix some issues with Rustle's character.
(12/20/12) So I started a new story. It's called Sasuke and the Kyuubi, and it is a reimagined version of Beauty and the Beast. I'm kind of excited for it, and it has gotten some rather good early story numbers. I'm afraid that The Story of Sarai is going to stay on Hiatus for the moment, but it just isn't getting views and I don't want to waste my energy on something that no one is reading. PFYL is going strong, I am several chapters ahead, and the ideas just keep flowing. (knock on wood) Change of Spirit is about to enter the planning phase for it's New Year's story arc, which will see some interesting characters introduced. I look forward to writing it. Also, for people wondering about my older fics... Naruto: Kurashio may be getting some life breathed into it. I will let you know more after the holidays.
(12/16/12) A few updates today, one which I'm semi-excited about. First, A Change of Spirit is going strong. I've begun work on the New Year's Eve storyline, and it will introduce the Top Four spirit (Nyght, Mother Earth, Father Time, and Man in Moon). I'm currently finished writing all the way up until chapter 12, plus a Christmas one-shot. Second, Play For Your Life is on a daily update schedule, in case people weren't aware of that. I'm about three chapters ahead on it at the moment, but I manage to write about one chapter per night (at the least). Finally, I got a random review on my vampire fic The Story of Sarai, which caused me to go back into my vault and see what happened to it. I found three unpublished chapters, so it will update for a little while. If I get some feedback from it, then I may try and continue it. If no one reads it... then it is a sign from the heavens that the project was doomed. We shall see.
(12/2/12) Alright, so I seem to have hit my groove again. I'm mainly focusing on Play for Your Life and A Change of Spirit from here on out. Once I finish one of these fics, i will most likely pick up one of my older projects. I still am working on figuring out where I am going to go with those. Most likely I will be doing a one-shot for Rise of the Guardians, which will be set around New Years. I am also planning on writing a Studio 69 one-shot for New Years, but do not hold me to that. PFYL will be updating on a daily schedule, provided I maintain this level of inspiration. Change of Spirit is currently two chapters ahead of what I have published, and I will be spacing out updates on it to maintain a constant flow of views to the story. So... probably an update every three days? We'll see.
(11/30/12) So... yeah... havent updated these notes in a LONG while. News is thus: TABS and Kurashio are suspended until I rewrite all of my notes which were lost during my move last year (which is why I have been such an MIA author these past long months). "Play for your Life" is moving forward... and I have a new Rise of the Guardians fiction "A Change of Spirit" which is my new pride and joy. So you should go read and review it. For anyone wondering about my Studio 69 one-shots... I have an idea for one coming up around New Years. So, I'll keep you posted.
And now I feel tempted to say a little bit about myself...
I only have one true fandom (and plenty of guilty pleasures) and it will always be Star Wars.
I saw the first movie when I was five, and I can remember it like it were just yesterday. My mum's sister came over to spend a week with me for my birthday, and the gift she brought was a boxed set of VHS tapes. I can remember seeing the cover art and saying: Star Wars? What is that? The pictures were entrancing, but I'd never been one for much television at that age... I had preferred to read, and my father and I were finished with 20,000 leagues under the sea at that time. I remember my aunt saying, "Sit down here with me and watch it... if you don't like it after five minutes we'll go shopping for those books you keep shoving your head in."
The big giant yellow letters started rolling up the screen and Star Wars opened with my favorite thing: Reading. It's a weird thing to say that I connected to Star Wars through reading, but I did. I never took my eyes from the screen for one minute... from the Star Destroyer in the beginning, to Obi-wan Kenobi vanishing into the Force, and all the way to the Death Star's explosion--I don't even remember breathing. The movie was breathtaking and I felt as if a book from my shelf had just been given life. I wanted to see the other three, but my Aunt told me I had to wait until tomorrow. I never listened well and she caught me at two in the morning with the TV on very low and my ear pressed to the speaker--I never saw her laugh so hard. We watched the other three movies that night... and the next day she took me to that book store and I bought Splinter of the Minds Eye. From the day on I have not stopped reading Star Wars.
I have read every piece of Star Wars literature that has been published... I know because I have a list on my wall. If it is highlighted yellow: I've read it. If it is marked through with a black pen: I own it. I'm constantly adding a new name to the list as the books keep getting written and I'm constantly filling in my collection. It's the only thing that I have ever collected, and you may call me what you want--but there are worse things to spend your money on. I'm currently engrossed with the Star Wars television series and it fits my childhood perfectly--I feel as if I am getting a new movie every week. I don't think Star Wars will ever get boring to me... and I pray that with my writing, perhaps people will see a glimmer of the love I hold for the Galaxy Far, Far Away.
Thank you to all who have read my stories!
