Author has written 5 stories for Criminal Minds, Hawaii Five-0, and Sons of Anarchy.
Hello all. Thank you for stopping by to check out my wee little corner of the Interweb. T'is much appreciated.
I guess I should introduce myself. I'm Hollywood.Thrills. I'm a 21 year old paramedic/firefighting student from Cleveland, Ohio. I've been an avid reader of fanfiction for a few years now, but only recently started writing it. I didn't actually ever intend to write either, but Good to Be Home literally wrote itself in the middle of my cardiovascular notes for class. So, I figured that since it was already written, might as well post it.
I tend to gravitate more towards the "nerds" as the male leads for the stories that I read and write. Spencer Reid of Criminal Minds, Adam Ross from CSI:NY and Sheldon Cooper of The Big Bang Theory are 3 of the men that have captured my primetime TV attention. And I've just recently gotten into the strapping lads of Sons of Anarchy.
Other characters that I enjoy:
Dr. Greg House (House, MD): Oh the things that I would do to that man if given the chance...
Detective Danny Williams (Hawaii Five-0): Solving crime never looked so sexy.
Lt. Commander Steve McGarrett (Hawaii Five-0): Navy SEAL. Need I say more?
I've also come to notice something about myself. I tend to hate every romantic interest that gets paired with any of the aforementioned characters. I want to punch Lisa Cuddy every time she opens her mouth, Rachel can go take a flying leap, and Catherine isn't even worth the time or energy it takes to despise her.
There are a few authors on FF.net that have really impressed me. You can find them in my Favorite Authors list. There are also a few authors that I want to beat with a dictionary. I'm sorry, but if you can't grasp the basic mechanics of the English language, DON'T post a story. It's embarrassing for you as the author, and it's painful for the readers to read. And if you don't know the difference between "your/you're, their/there, or to/too/two", you probably shouldn't post a story either. Also, don't post a story where your plot is "Original character meets leading male, leading male and OC fall in love at first sight, move in together 2 weeks later, OC finds out she's unexpectedly pregnant, shotgun wedding, baby's born, we live happily ever after, YAY!" Seriously, don't do it. I don't know what fantasy world you live in, but here in the plane of reality, that almost never happens. EVER.
And DON'T! I repeat, DON'T use netspeak in your story. I will slap you through your computer screen. That is the most annoying thing in the world. If you are publishing a story, at least use proper spelling and grammar in it.
Alright, that's me in a nutshell. I'll get off my soapbox now.
A/N May 30th, 2011: I want to thank everyone for the overwhelming response to "Green With Envy". In the 11 days that it's been posted, it's had 861 hits, with 622 of those hits happening on the first day it was up. I'm humbled and overjoyed that you all have liked it so much. Thank you, thank you, thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
My avatar portrays my OC Madeleine O'Reilly. She will be the OC that is present in any of the fanfiction that I write. I find that it's easier for me as a writer to only have one OC, instead of multiple individuals to keep track of.
