Hello! I'm Alice (rewriting this entire profile 5/31/2011), and I love reading. It has been such a passion of mine since I was a little girl, and being rather lonely growing up, and even now, I find that books are often my best friends. Thus, I became rapidly sucked into the world of literature, and even writing.
Growing up, Harry Potter was such a constant companion of mine, and I was, and still am, utterly obsessed with the series (I cry sometimes thinking about how tragic it is that it's over). Thus, many of my interests lie with reading and writing Harry Potter fan fiction. I really really love fanfiction from the Marauders' Era.
Apparently, I also write Pride and Prejudice fan fiction haha. To anyone who hasn't ever read Ten Years, I must say that it started out rather rocky and ooc, especially because I did not write the first chapter with Lizzy/Darcy in mind, but rather two other characters in a short story of mine. However, I ended up adapting it into a P/P fanfiction. I don't really take myself too seriously, so the story is rather silly and fun, but I hope you will enjoy it!
As for my future plans, I think I will take a break from fanfiction to work on my other stories (non ff). I probably won't be able to stay away from fanfiction though, so don't expect me to disappear forever!
I eat way more chocolate than is probably good for me. I've tried to stop eating sweets but it's absolutely impossible. I'm terrible terrible grammar nazi, and I can't abide grammar errors. That is one of the biggest turnoffs of fanfiction for me. I like reading fantasy novels, but recently, I've been trying to read a lot of classics to fill up my literature chronology. I like watching crime shows and spy shows. I love dystopian novels. I love poetry that makes you shiver because it's so good. I love Batman and some children's books (Narnia, Series of Unfortunate Events). I listen to pretty kickass music, mostly alternative, rock, some indie, accoustic, not a lot of pop. I love musicals, and my favorite is Les Mis. I really enjoyed The Count of Monte Cristo, even though it's an enormously long story. I am off-beat and like to make things awkward.
