Yes, that is really a photo of me. :-D
I live in New York City, moved to the city about 20 years ago and am now unfit to live anywhere else on the planet. Besides the fact that I can't drive a car without hitting something, I have become too used to 24-hour post offices, all-night drug stores and comic book stores that close at midnight. Even the observatory on the Empire State Building is open nightly until 2 am.
While I make my living as a writer, I can't write fiction, but boy do I love to read it. I probably read 2-3 books a week while doing everything else: riding subways, doing laundry, watching TV. And I love to read about my favorite characters, so Fanfiction.net has become a great source for stories. I am amazed at all the talented writers who post here and how creative they can be.
My passions are mostly sci-fi, comic, fantasy or action-related and change frequently. This past year I've been hooked on NCIS and Supernatural, and I'm reading the usual suspects: Janet Evanovich, Charlaine Harris, Jim Butcher. Today I'm reading Dana Stabenow, Alan Dean Foster (Flinx), Patricia Briggs. I can also be found reading whatever my nephews and niece are reading. Just picked up Hunger Games. My biggest problem with authors is they write too slow. Grr.
