But mostly he hated the way those doctors and nurses looked at him, like he was just another trashy, redneck junkie trying to score a prescription for Oxy. AU, no zombies

When Rick decides to tell Merle their plan to surrender Michonne to save the prison, Carol overhears and isn't happy. This is a Caryl fic that starts out Marol.

"She'd lured him in like a stray, with warm smiles and kind words..." Carol and Daryl search for happiness together but it seems like there is always something standing in their way. Caryl AU inspired by a suggestion from the wonderful laceknee on Tumblr.

To deal with frustrations, Daryl and Carol steal a moment and neither would regret what would happen next.
