I appreciate the time you all take to make a review to my stories! I'm really grateful and I'm open to any and all criticisms! "The storyteller may fall silent, the music may cease, but the story will not end. Be it tragedy or comedy, as long as there is applause, the story will not end. It is just like the multitude of human lives. Warm blessing to we who were not rewarded, and we who are still on our way. Our travels continue on." - Fate/Stay Night: Realta Nua Last Episode Epilogue Name: eppelMax Age: 27 Occupation: Comp Sci. How did I get into fanfiction? If I am being truthful. I encountered my first fan-fiction back in maybe 7th or 8th grade on some message board I can't remember. It was a Naruto story based on a scene between Sakura and Sasuke. It was also my first encounter with smut. Idiot me thought it was stupid and went off to do something else. Fast forward a year later. I tried out another story and became hooked. Speed up to another year or so. I found myself writing my first fan-fiction story of a Naruto and Rosario Vampire crossover. It was... an interesting time to say the least. Plot was everywhere, character development was barely there, and it was essentially a wish-fulfillment story. After maybe getting up to say 12-13 chapters? I stopped developing the story and went back to reading instead of typing. Throughout my high school years I lurked a lot. I don't typically add stories to my account as I read from my iPhone on the Safari web browser. I bookmark them instead and that's how I categorize stories. It's super disorganized and a complete mess, but it's something I've done since then and I haven't really hopped over to the application itself. The ones that I do add on the account are ones that have impressed upon me the most. But I digress. I got back into typing stories around my first year of college. Hit a bad break up that messed me up. Went into a deep dark hole and needed an outlet. That was when I discovered Fate/stay night. Started reading the visual novel, then the anime that came out, Unlimited Blade Works in 2015, and used that as a coping/healing mechanism. To those who are still reading my profile. You'll notice that there's a Fate/stay night and Naruto crossover. My first story in over 3-4 years and I poured my heart out into it. The main character was supposed to be a reflection of my state of mind at the time. I was sad, frustrated, and lost. I wrote what I felt like and what I wanted to read. And as the story and months progressed. My state of being got better and the character reflected that. By the 14th chapter was when I finally was able to claw myself out of the hole I found myself in. Since then it's been on hiatus as I want to rewrite the story with a better plot, flow, and characterizations. Some of the chapters are too long and drawn out. Chapter 2 especially is obscenely long pinging at a whopping 17,000 words. A ludicrous amount of words that tried jamming in a lot of progress into one single chapter. Other chapters were just fillers that I didn't know how to flow from plot point to plot point. Chapter 4 being heinous of that. I started getting too specific about things when I could've just let them be vague and allow the reader to fill in the gaps. Long story short, there's a lot that I want to fix and a lot to write. By Chapter 15 of that story. I realized that I was more into Fate/stay night than Naruto. When I read up on the magical girl spin-off manga called Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya 3rei! and its version of Shirou Emiya. I knew that was when I wanted to dive deep and actually use Shirou as a main character and driving force behind the story. And yeah, that's where I'm currently at and I hope you found it interesting! My top-ten anime (list is subject to change):
Honorable mentions: Shokugeki no Soma, Bleach, One Piece, One Punch Man, Gundam, and RWBY. |
