Author has written 3 stories for Twilight, and Pride and Prejudice.
Hello everybody! I am fully aware that I have promised over and over again that I will finish my story (believe it or not I think about the plot just about every day and I have written the next chapter 2-3 times and never posted it) and I do plan to finish them, but I'm not the type of person who has to finish a project once I've started it. I guess what I'm saying is that, I'm considering having a beta? Someone to bounce ideas off of and to hold me accountable may just kick me into gear.
Chapter ?: Engagement ring(s):
(2)Imagine rubies instead of the pink thingies please.
1) This ring is supposed to symbolize a commitment of love and therefore would have been a good ring for Darcy to give Elizabeth ( I did find this on a website and it was from the Georgian period/era thingy.) However, I was not completely satisfied with his conformity to society's norm and decided that he would give Lizzie another ring which brings us to...
2) Engagement ring 2. During this time, diamonds were used in rings, but were not a symbol of an engagement. Instead, they were meant to show exactly how fabulous life was for those in society's higher circles. In fact, engagement rings were often disregarded altogether. However, considering Darcy's all rich and whatnot, I thought: Why the hell not? So, (though the picture shows pink gems, I ask you to imagine that those are rubies. Rubies typically represent passion and Darcy is, though repressed, a very passionate man.
I hope you don't think this too weird, because I think that he is really trying to show Lizzie his love for her and knows that rubies represent passion and the crowned heart represent love.
Chapter 6: lullaby website:
There are a lot of other really sweet lullabies on there. Though i don't particularly like listening to 'amy' sing them, she does give you a good feel for how the tune goes. Also, if you should HAPPEN to listen to The Riddle Song (I gave my love a cherry), then listen carefully to how she pronounces Appalachian and know that it is incorrect. It is pronounced with the ch actually sounding like ch as in 'cheetah' rather then ch as in 'shh!' Sorry, it irritates me when people pronounce it wrong! And I think it's typically sang a smidgen faster than she does, but that really doesn't matter. Sorry I ramble.
