Hello, there! Welcome to the profile of MyDearChild, a fanfiction writer of a higher caliber who is too Internet paranoid to give her real name or age. Some of you may know me as silv3r.wyvern, or Vern.

If you're new to my corner of, a special welcome to you! I'm afraid you've gotten here a bit late, however. I've moved. But fear not, intrepid reader! All my stories can now be found on my Tumblr, here. Feel free to follow me if you have an account, or send me a message. I love followers like Jim Moriarty loves his Westwood.

If you're still here, and want to know a bit more about me...

Quite simply, I can think of nothing I would rather do with my life than tell tales. I care deeply about excelling through the written word. Writing feels less like a skill and more like a body part to me.

Also, I'm a complete geek, as you probably guessed. I'm a member of many dozen fandoms (see below), and I'm one of those powerful obsessors who will get exhausted memorizing lines, interpreting character, and learning trivia. The fictional world is often more real to me than the "real" life I inhabit. For an idea of my tastes...

Favorite books: Coraline, Good Omens, The Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit/The Silmarillion, Life of Pi, The Martian Chronicles, The Giver, Calvin & Hobbes treasuries, Harry Potter, and V for Vendetta, to name a few.

Favorite films: The Dark Knight Saga, Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, almost everything Studio Ghibli, classic Disney/Pixar, Out of Africa, Star Wars, and Dead Poet's Society, to name a few.

Favorite TV: Doctor Who (classic & new), Sherlock, Life on Mars UK Avatar: the Last Airbender/The Legend of Korra, Teen Titans, Firefly, original/abridged Yu-Gi-Oh!, andoccasionally My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

[Fandom Note: I ship, quite enthusiastically. However, I am not a raving, aggressive banshee of a shipper. In fact, I tend to ship against the mainstream. Slash isn't usually* my thing, and I don't write explicitly sexual fics under any circumstances.]

Well, now that we've been introduced, what are you waiting for? Go read. The link, again, is HERE!

Sincerely, MDC

[PS* I do have a few notable slash exceptions: Moran/Moriarty, Slade/Robin, and most infamously, Doctor/Master. The latter is my quite literal One True Pairing--if I were forced to choose ONLY one fandom, and ONLY one pairing, to enjoy for the rest of my life, that would be my choice.]
