Author has written 5 stories for Kung Fu Panda.
Hello to all who have stumbled, here, into my little writer's den! Welcome. I'd offer you a cup of tea and biscuits (sorry, but you'll have to settle for 'digital tea and biscuits'..) or maybe something else to your liking...but I guess my stories will have to do to sate your thirst (for adventure). I've been on FF.net for quiet a while now, can't even remember since when - has it really been that long? Perhaps I'm just forgetful. But, I do remember what made me join this amazing website. Kung Fu Panda. Yes...yes, I am a fan. But it can't be helped. KFP combines three of the greatest things I adore, dearly: animation filming (big lover of Pixar and Dreamworks), anthropomorphic beings and, of course, Ancient China and martial arts (okay, those last two admittedly make it a total of four things, but, who's counting?).
Now I'm not saying there are other great works of film out there - Toy Story, Wall-E, Avatar (James Cameron, NOT M.N. Shyamalan's...man, still gives me the creeps that one, ugh), Shrek, HTTYD (How To Train Your Dragon; read all the books when I was a young-an), just to list a few - but it was Kung Fu Panda that I immediately fell in love with. And it inspired me, along with the budding and wondrous works I so adore here, to begin writing my own stories.
Yes, I admit, my earlier works are rather cliched and a bit...well, not so great; but (here's hoping) with time and practice, I will one day publish amazing stories that you, and anyone else who's interested or just looking for a good read, will become lost in the 'realm of my imagination'. But, again, that's just my hopes. No author, nor writer or thinker, can ever improve unless there are people willing to voice their opinions and help these creators along to better success.
But films are not only where my love lies. There are other TV shows/books/films/Games to my liking (see below for more examples, and fav. quotations): Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit (film trilogy and book), Star Wars, Star Trek (J.J. Abrams remakes)/Mass Effect Trilogy/ Halo/ Forest Gump/ Simpsons/Balto/Dark Knight Trilogy/ majority of the books by Brandon Sanderson, especially his Mistborn Trilogy and Warbreaker/Harry Potter/Lion King - and, most recently, a film that parallels in my love with Kung Fu Panda, Okami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki (Wolf Children: Ame and Yuki)
As for any personal details, I'm gonna have to play the safe card and just leave you with just my "name" and some other trivia;
Name: call me the 'Dark-Eyed W0lf' (Or, if you, really want to, I'll settle for the acronym version DEW)
Age: Not telling...
See ya out there.
Some of my more memorable/funny quotes from books and films
A few memorable quotes from famous books and films that I think have great meaning, or just makes me smile.
Boris: Let me tell you something, Balto. A dog cannot make this journey alone
Tigress: (seeing Po bounce down the Palace Steps) If he's smart, he won't come back up those steps.
Young Simba: Hey, Uncle Scar, guess what?
Hana: If you could be one thing, would you be people? Or wolves? (English Dub)
Kate Mosse - Labyrinth: Spirits, friends, ghosts who hold out their hands and whisper of their lives, share their secrets with her. They connect her to all those who have stood here before- and all those yet to come- dreaming of what life may hold. In the distance, a white moon is rising in the speckled sky, promising another fine day.
David Clement-Davies - The Sight: "Before they did any of this they looked out on the universe and they were glad at what they saw."
Brandon Sanderson - The Mistborn Trilogy: The Well of Ascension (Book 2): "I have done far worse," Vin said. "This thing I released...the mists killing people, and coming during the day...Elend, what are we going to do?"
