Author has written 7 stories for Lord of the Rings.
First off I will bid you all a pleasant day or night, or perhaps morning or evening. Whatever time it is and whatever reason you have stumbled upon my account, I welcome you.
My name's Micah (Frodo here, but call me whichever). I'm female and am seventeen. I'm a junior in highschool. If you want to know more about me... well... I'm kind of freaked out then.
I am an avid Tolkien fan and both enjoyed Tolkien's books and Peter Jackson's films. I read The Hobbit my eighth grade year and finished it about two months before LotR:FotR came into theaters. I loved the book immensely and was amazed at Tolkien's writing style and the history and depth he gave into the story. I saw FotR on my fourteenth birthday and to this day have never been so taken with a movie in my life. I began reading the book within the next few days and was immediately captivated. I really enjoyed The Hobbit, but became truly in love with The Lord of the Rings. So anyway, enough with the background here. You will find Lord of the Rings short stories and poetry on this site.I usually stick with book verse but am influenced by how the actor's portrayed the characters. I mean no disrespect to Tolkien, and forever this will be his world. I only write for enjoyment and helping myself understand the sources better.
I tend to read more than I write lately, so I would like to mention that you should check out my favorite authors and stories lists. You'll find wonderful stuff in there, I promise. Thundera Tiger, Lynliss, and Daw the Minstrel are just some of my favorite writers on this site.
There are things I won't read though. First off, I'm not a fan of Mary-Sues and/or 10th Walker stories. I've seen one story that's done that well, and it's Lynlis's "Elfsong". Anyway, I don't believe in teenage girls falling out of the sky and falling in love with Legolas, no matter the circumstances (in other words, I don't care if they've had a traumatic past and he's the only one who cares/understands... blah blah blah...). I don't like homosexual couplings in stories because, well, that just didn't happen in Tolkien's world. Eldarion and Legolas are not madly in love with each other, thank you. AUs aren't usually my cup of tea either, so I steer away from those as well. Above all, I really can't stand any really really stupid parodies. Wow. I think if I see another story like "Lord of the Cheese" or any crazy spin-offs of game shows or something, I will go insane and kill all.
I don't mind certain stories where Legolas falls in love. I'm sure he did fall in "love" a couple of times. I've seen some good stories containing this. I really like them if they don't last in the end though.
Well, I like to read well thought out, drama/action (with a nice bit of angst) stories. Fluff can sometimes be good too.
I've rambled on long enough. You know a little about me and my writings, so now I'll let you introduce yourself to me through a review. Thanks for your time.

Recent Updates and Ramblings:
3/06/05: You won't be seeing anything from me anymore as I've given up on writing Lord of the Rings fanfiction. It was fun while it lasted, but I've kind of grown out of it. I still ocassionaly read stuff by some of my favorite fanfiction writers, but that's about it. You're still welcome to read my stuff.
8/04/04: Detassling is over, and I don't see any posts coming up, but that alows me to read more stuff on the site.
Alright, I'll try to make this brief. I'm a liar. Ok, there is more to this. I never ended up posting the story I was writing because I decided I just wasn't sure where it was going (like it's stopped me before). Anyway, I am planning on trying to use it for something to post up on here, but at the time I'm trying to find it. I've just redid my computer and have lost most all of the my writing pieces and am very unhappy, to say the least. None the less, perhaps soon I will again have something to put here, until then, I will be busy detassling for the next 12-14 days and will be pretty busy and tired. If I don't review one of your stories, it's on my to-do list (seriously, I do have an actual list I'm writing this stuff down on). I'll try to find time to review as often as I can. Thanks. Now it's time to work on something I like to call "Siesta, Ole!".
It's crazy, but I'm going to put up another story soon. The working title is "The Lady of the Golden Wood" and will be the first chapter to a couple chapter story. It won't be long but will be more than what I usually have. It's about Aragorn's first meeting with Galadriel. So far it is going to contain Aragorn/Estel, Gilraen, Elrond, Elrohir, Elladen, Celeborn, Galadriel, Glorfindil and perhaps our favorite Marchwarden and his brothers. I'm excited to put it up soon. Should be in a couple of days.
