Author has written 6 stories for Final Fantasy VII, and Shakespeare.
Welcome to my profile. I like writing stories, and I'm a fan of Final Fantasy, William Shakespeare, and Jane Austen (so unoriginal, me). I love a good laugh - the sillier and more random the humour, the better.
Favourite genres: drama, gen-fic, romance, angst - and parodies. In my family, if we tease you, it means we love you.
Favourite topics: world-building, missing scenes from the Compilation, character backstory, prequels, sequels. I prefer fic that adheres to canon.
Favourite characters: the Turks, especially Tseng. Rufus. Aerith. Tifa. Barret. Zack, of course! Palmer. Reeve. I'm just a Shinra girl at heart.
In my day job I teach English and History. I'm a single mother with two teenage boys - I have them to thank for introducing me to Final Fantasy VII. Sometimes, thought, I think they wish they hadn't!
Beta reading. I am open to requests for beta-reading from people who write fic featuring the Turks/Shinra, but I'm afraid I must decline any fic that features Genesis in a starring role, either as hero or villain.
Two sites relevant to FFVII Fans
1. The Genesis Awards site was established to promote good writing in Final Fantasy fanfiction. Sadly, it seems to be withering away these days, and it doesn't look as if any awards will be given this year. An injection of new blood, or a revival of interest by the old guard, might yet save it, but at the moment there isn't a lot happening there.
2. The Lifestream dot net is currently the best place on the internet for anyone interested in news about, or discussions about, FFVII, the Compilation, and other SE games. The site strives to be friendly and inclusive, and warmly welcomes Cleriths, despite what you may have heard to the contrary. It's a great place to get your questions about canon answered, and the pundits there are more reliable than the Wiki.
