Author has written 6 stories for iCarly, and Victorious.
They say the first step is admitting you have a problem. So, here it goes.
I am a fanfic-aholic.
There. I said it. And I will go even further and admit that I sometimes enjoy the fanfic even more than the real deal. I get giddy when the stories I’m reading are updated. I've been known to laugh, squeal, gasp, etc. at the computer/phone screen (yes—thank God for the mobile version!). Luckily I have a select few who understand my obsession (although not maybe my choice of fandoms). Even encourage it. Unfortunately, my husband does not. He just thinks I've gone insane.
But he means it with the utmost sentiment of love I am sure.
I do admit, I get highly embarrassed by some of the fandoms I write for given the maturity level I should be at, but I can’t help it. I have been writing fanfic since I was probably about nine or ten. Although, back then, I didn’t know the actual term “fanfiction” existed. My sisters and I just considered it a fun way to pass the time. It started with Baby Sitter’s Club and Sweet Valley Twins. As I got older I moved onto original works of fiction. I have many stories packed away somewhere in various stages of completion. I will admit—my head is always jam packed with ideas, so I do tend to have a problem sorting them out and staying focused.
What else? I am married to my high school sweetheart. We’ve been married almost eight years and have three wonderful little boys. I like to read and write (you’re probably thinking—Duh! Why else would you be here?!) in what little spare time I have. I’m not big into sitting and watching movies—yet another thing my movie-freak husband will never understand about me—but I have a few select TV shows I am obsessed with. And probably should be embarrassed about watching in the first place…
As a fanfic writer, I get busy at times and I don’t always update as often as I’d like (some readers probably have noticed this about me…), but all I can do is try. (Total geek moment—I just heard “Do or do not. There is no try.” in my head.) I love feedback—good or bad. The good makes me all tingly inside—the bad helps bring me back into focus. If my stories are lacking I want to be able to fix that and I always take suggestions to heart.
I am currently working on rewriting a story I had been writing for Prison Break, titled Friends and Neighbors…and Lovers???, and reworking it for the Twilight fandom (but I do plan on finishing it in the Prison Break realm where it was and still is originally posted). I am just hoping I can make improvements to it and build my motivation and inspiration back up so I can finally finish it.
I also have a couple more Twilight stories in the works (The Experimental Summer and The Hidden Truth). They are mainly in the planning stages right now, although I do have some bits and pieces, and key scenes written. If there is anyone out there who would like to help me and kick my butt into gear—I would be grateful.
I am also working on a two- or three-shot story for Victorious called Finally Falling as well as getting my iCarly piece iNever Knew This Would Be So Hard completed.
Anywho—that about sums it up. If want to know anything else about me, just ask. And, if you actually read through my whole profile, thanks!
