Author has written 4 stories for Merlin.
I'm Kim, I'm from the brilliantly rainy isles of England, and I love reading stories from my favourite TV shows.
I love reading stories from the Buffy verse, and from the Angel verse. I've also read fiction from the A-Team and Supernatural. I even have my favourite pairings from the first two shows, and I constantly try and create my own storylines using an original character plus one of the characters from the verse's. Now, depending on how you look at it, I love descriptions in the stories that I read - if the backdrop of your setting can tell the story better than verbal communication between your characters, then I think that's a much more effective way at progressing the story. The flip side to this is that when I get my creative juices going, I tend to write lots of description, which I know can sometimes annoy you lucky readers! I also love London - it's my home city, and as such, I tend to have all my story ideas revolve around London and the south-east of England. So for all you people out there who haven't been to London, it is my goal, neigh my sole purpose, to give you an insight into this city that I call home.
Um, what else to say... I guess my strong points in writing are my descriptions and the way that I conjure up images. I would also say that I can use different words to mean the same thing, so that I don't get bored writing the same word over and over and over again. I also like trying to be as punctual as possible, so that the story reads smoothly and succintly for the readers. The last strong point that I think I have comes from being able to take criticism and adjusting myself and my work to improve on what has been mentioned. So when I post my work on this lovely site, please, please, PLEASE do fee free to comment. I love hearing feedback about my work. My weak points in writing are my descriptions - as much as they are my strong point, I'm also weak here as I tend to over-write the descriptions, so that the verbal conversations can appear swamped by my need to describe. Another of my weak points is that I tend to get my American and English words mixed up in terms of the 's' and 'z' thing - so I may start writing the English way of using the 's', but half way through my writing, I'll switch to the American way and use 'z'.
I've currently written the Forever Yours series, based on the great series that is Merlin. I've also got some more Merlin stories in the pipeline, so watch this space!
I'm also a Beta for stories! So feel free to have me as your beta!
