Hi there! My name’s Manic and I fancy myself as a writer and part time procrastinator. I’m a 24 year old girl from the UK and I am addicted to avoiding the real world and refusing to grow up.

I am currently on a massive Young Justice kick at the moment and love anything Batman or DC in general (particularly Dick Grayson/Robin/Nightwing – the best character ever) Not that I’m a fangirl or anything…

Young Justice

The In Between Series [Updated 18/3/16]

This series of fics is my version of events not shown in the show. It follows maybe 96% of established canon, so it's not really an AU, it's more of a filler for the gaps that got glossed over. It didn't start out as a series though, so it has not been written in anything even resembling an order (some old author's notes even say that some fics are unrelated – ignore and continue reading). Essentially, I've knocked Circus Blood out of continuity (which makes no difference as that was just a random one-shot) and it's been shortened to nine titles (plus a tag one-shot - may potentially have more if I get some good prompts - see below for details!). I have plans, big plans, for this series – please stick with me!

Jason

In the YJ universe, Jason Todd has absolutely no canon beyond the fact that he was the second Robin and he died, most likely horrifically. As such, I have decided to give his story a fresh lick of paint – the biggest difference being that he was not killed by the Joker. This is because I have already had the Joker beat the first Robin with a crowbar and blow him up (see HOOKED for details), and Joker doesn't repeat himself. His actual death will be featured in a future story, along with his evolution into the Red Hood and his reasons for choosing that ID without the Joker as an influence.

Wally/Dick Friendship

I have been informed that apparently Wally learned Robin's civilian ID before the show began. I am ignoring this. In my imagination there's a moment in the episode Failsafe where Dick and Wally are about to die and Dick's just like, screw this, and takes off his mask (I think I've read this in a one shot somewhere – kudos to whoever wrote it). In my head, this is why a few episodes later in Image, Wally starts making comments about Bruce Wayne and whatnot.

Time-Skip

A heck of a lot of stuff had to happen in the short five years we were cruelly deprived of in order for things to be the way they are in Season Two. The most irritating thing is the number of people that had to join the team and then leave it during the time-skip. According to the YJ wiki; Tempest, Aquagirl, Troia, along with Lieutenant and Sargent Marvel (whoever the frick they may be) were on the team early on in the five years.

I am ignoring this.

It completely messes up the Designation numbers; so I'm keeping them the same, I'm just keeping the random people in the background where they will never be seen nor heard, with the exception of Aquagirl and Tempest, cause they're kinda plot relevant.

Ironically, Jason/Robin II is designation B13.

Wally

Is not dead. Call it denial.
