Author has written 1 story for Final Fantasy X-2.
Hello everyone! It's nice to meet you, so to speak.
I'm not entirely sure what to put here, so I guess I'll put down some of the basics.
My name's Alexandra, though everyone I know just calls me Alex. I'm what my friends call "old," albeit I'm only 18 at the moment. I'm a Virgo, born September 10, 1990. I've got one sister, one dog -- who's probably more human that most of us. I mean honestly, you should hear him snore. It gets so loud that he wakes his own self up. -- one mother (since E-bay isn't selling them in two-for-one pairs anymore, go figure). I work and go to school, so my time is pretty much chopped between doing those things and maintaining a basic understanding of existence--you know, eating, showering, sleeping, homework, repeat. That sort of thing.
As a side note, I'd like to add that I'm addicted to Mountain Dew, despite its rumored ill-will against all of its consumers.
I guess I've always wanted to be a writer, or at the very least, have some sort of power over my favorite stories, movies, anime, etc. Sometimes, you just don't like where things ended, or how they got there. Sometimes, you just know you could have done a better job than whatever visionary decided to chop and screw up the otherwise eloquent plot of your once favorite story. I suppose that's the basis of fanfiction, afterall.
This is the part where I'm supposed to list all of my favorite pairings, genre of fiction and that sort of thing, isn't it? Well, then, I'll get on with it. And please bare with my main-stream view. I can only watch or read what's available to me.
FFX-2 -- Rikku and Gippal. There are other ones that are acceptable, but they're not worth mentioning as far as I'm concerned. The game itself leaves most of them paired off. I guess that's what makes this pairing that much more interesting. They didn't get their happily-ever-after fairytale. In fact, I'm sure I'm not the only indignant one when that nerve is strung. The two of them deserve a happily-ever-after, right?
Teen Titans -- Robin and Raven deserve one another because the world isn't all magical pixie dust and butterflies. There is a thing called reality, even if some of us choose to act otherwise.
IGPX -- Takashi and Liz, naturally.
Inuyasha -- Inuyasha and Kagome for all obvious reasons. Miroku needs Sango in his life, if for no other reason than to not be so reckless.
Aquarion -- Apollo and Silvia. Enough said. Although, I'm somewhat impartial to Toma and Apollo and pairings involving Pierre and Chloe or Tsugumi. Reika and Sirius are also somewhat cute.
I'm sure that there are others, and we'll get to them as time comes along. For now, let's move on with the next bit of this profile, shall we?
My reason for writing? I would have to say my mom. She's beyond wonderful and I think that without her constant encouragement to do what I wanted to do, despite what others thought, I don't think we'd be having this interesting profile-conversation right now. I'd probably end up generically induced into something unfulfilling and lethargic. Good lord, who wants that? Or maybe it had something to do with all that verbal abuse. My mom's reasoning: If someone you love can tell you horrible things and you can live through that, then world can never hurt you. She might have been right. I'm terrified of critial reviews and/or criticism and last time I checked, writing -- and all of its varied other forms -- involve large helpings of criticism and reviewing, yet here I am, writing my heart out in a profile. I suppose there's a method to her madness afterall. And to think I ever doubted her...
On to the quotes!
"How do we know who we really are? How do we find ourselves if other people keep getting in the way?" -- Me, as far as I know
"I know who I am because I know who you are. It's through the eyes of others that we come to know ourselves." -- Me, as far as I know
"Don't apologize. It's a sign of weakness." Gibbs, NCIS
"Anonymity blocks more bullets than a vest." Director Shepherd, NCIS
"How bad does a drug deal have to go for you to leave the drugs behind?" Tony, I think, NCIS
"Goals are deceptive. The unaimed arrow never misses." NCIS
"Love. Denial. I guess it depends on whose dictionary you're using." Me, as far as I know
"Laws are only suggestions to some people." Me, as far as I know
"How is it that I've never met you before? You're sarcastic and apparently intelligent." Unsure
"Sarcasm is the refuge of a shallow mind." Tony, I think, NCIS
"Do you believe in yourself?" "It would be silly if I didn't. I'm pretty sure I'm not imaginary." Teacher and myself. (The ending result was detention for "insubordination.")
"Do you believe in miracles?" "Naturally. I perform them often enough." Religion teacher and myself. (The ending result was copying 'Hail Mary' for an hour.)
"Your people will judge you by all that you've created, not by what you've destroyed." President Obama
"A child without belief is a tool waiting to be used." Me, as far as I know
And now the best part of all! The story I shall dedicate myself to until its completion.
It's a Final Fantasy X-2 story. I'm sure you know the pairing. What you don't know, however, is the way in which the story shall be told, nor do you know the way in which it will end. (I didn't say begin because after the first paragraph or so, you would know how it begins, wouldn't you?)
I guess the only thing I might have a problem with is the actual story's name. That could prove difficult. I'll get around to it and make it wonderful. Story updates should be weekly, unless something drastic occurs, then all of my best-made plans go all to hell, which they often do, I'm finding. Let's hope for something else, huh?
That's all for me. I hope you'll enjoy what I publish. Until next time then.
