Author has written 4 stories for Chronicles of Narnia, and Merlin.
Hello, people of Fanfiction.net! So, little bit about me, huh?
Well, my name isn't really Melpomene, but you can call me that if you'd like. (I also answer to Mel or Fluffy. Don't even ask about that one.)
Just for clarification, I am a girl, I live in one of the coldest parts of America, and I won't go into much more detail than that because I have a tendency to give away far more information than I really should over the internet.
I am a huge fan of reading, and of writing, but Writer's Block hits me really hard at inopportune times, so I rarely get anything written far enough in advance to actually publish. I have about a million ideas running rampant through my brain, though, so they'll happen eventually, I promise!
I also love music, and whenever I write, I have a song playing that fits either the tone of the chapter, or conjures a particular image I'm trying to go for in that chapter. My tastes in music vary from the Beatles, to Train, to Disney movie soundtracks, and just about everything else in between, so I have a pretty ample variety of stuff to choose from.
Sarcasm was my first language. True story.
Few favorites of mine:
Books: Wuthering Heights, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Narnia, Anna Karenina, The Woman in White, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Great Gatsby
Movies: Pirates of the Caribbean, Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Narnia, The Breakfast Club, Water for Elephants, Across the Universe
TV Shows: Merlin, Doctor Who, Criminal Minds, Sherlock, Psych, Friends, CSI pre-season 9
Foods: Sushi, pasta, craisins, oatmeal raisin cookies, red velvet cake, caramel corn
Couple things you should probably know about my writing.
1. I'm still young; my stories won't be perfect. I accept and expect constructive criticism, but I will not tolerate flames from anyone.
2. I generally don't like reading M rated stories and I don't like writing them. Highest rating you will see here is a T.
3. I love hearing from my readers, and I'm open to new ideas, so please don't hesitate to drop me a line sometime. :)
J: Well, I want to die lying down because it would hurt to die standing up!
Me: It wouldn't matter! You'd be dead!
Mittens: *laughing hysterically* I just saw a big white van back into a little red car!
Me: Oh, my gosh, seriously?
both continue laughing*
C: What's so funny?
Mittens: I just saw a big white van back into a little red car!
white van drives by*
C: That white van?
C *completely mortified: That's my mom!
Sarah: I need a new job.
Me: So get one!
Me: Anything you have in mind?
Sarah: Not politics. Health care.
Me: Sarah, politics is not a job. It's a one-way trip to the psych ward.
Sis: It's not possible to die from choking on water, right?
Me: ...Yes. It's called drowning.
Val: So, Evelyn, what do you want to do now?
Evelyn: Your mom.
Val: *stares in shock*
Sis: *stares in shock*
Evelyn: *smiles obliviously* *suddenly looks horrified* No! I didn't mean it that way!
Me: *arguing about River Song's wedding* It counts!
Lassie: No, it doesn't!
Me: Yes, it does!
Lassie: No, it doesn't!
Me: River said it does!
Lassie: It doesn't.
Me: You would dare to refute the word of River Song?
Lassie: *squeaks* No.
Me: It counts.
