Author has written 9 stories for Sisters Grimm, and Merlin. Hey, I’m TheGingerAvenger! Tumblr: AO3: TheGingerAvenger Updates: WIP: Smoke and Mirrors: Currently working on chapter 4. As much as I would love to get it up by this Wednesday, it's probably going to be posted the 6th or 7th. Shadows of the Past: This story is up in the air at the moment. I'm stuck between editing the first couple of chapters and changing some of the details/familiarizing myself with what happened or just going on ahead and continuing to post new chapters once I have a few written. I don't want to discontinue it, but as of right now I can't promise any updates in the near future. New Stories: Insomnia: Every war has its consequences, and Sabrina Grimm finds herself struggling with the backlash of the Everafter War, her complicated relationship with Puck, a grandmother who continues to age, and a younger sister bent on proving herself. To top it off, Charming enlists their help to stop a serial killer. But how can they find a killer that leaves no trace? Set before the epilogues in book nine. I've been chipping away at the new story for a few months now, trying to get a reasonable backlog of chapters ready before I start posting them. Hopefully that way people won't have to wait for a year or so for me to finish new chapters. All my other stories are receiving the edit they much need. Feel free to leave any comments or critiques, ‘cause those would definitely help with the editing process. About me: I’m a female college student, a Christian, lover of cartoons, movies, and books regardless of what age group they’re supposed to be aimed at. I have what most would call an ‘unhealthy addiction’ to Dr. Pepper, chocolate, and cheese (I argue that both chocolate and cheese have calcium and are therefore healthy, and Dr. Pepper is a gift from above, so it doesn’t matter how unhealthy it might be). I’m also a horrible updater. This is partly due to me being a perfectionist and, on more occasions than I’d like to admit, a lazy bum who gets easily distracted. It’s a nasty habit that I’m trying to kick, but as of right now, please don’t expect an update every two days. So far, I’ve only written for one fandom, though I’ve been thinking about dipping my toes in others. Most of my stories tend to be action/mystery with some romance and humor thrown in. A lot of them are rated T, due to some violence and the fact that they’re not happy-sunshine-fluffy-bunnies-everybody-lives type stories. At this moment, I can’t see myself writing any adult themes, and if any characters curse, it will be sparse and people will be warned about it. I also don’t put warnings for character deaths at any point in the story. Though if people want to know if there's going to be character death, they are free to say so in their review and I will PM them or leave them a note at the end of the next chapter. Like most, I love getting reviews of any kind. Feel free to tell me your opinions on what I wrote. I put my stories up here for entertainment, and also to hear what other people think, even if they don’t like what I wrote. You can tear it to shreds if you want to, all I ask is that you at least tell my why you didn’t like it, and possibly give advice on how to better hone my writing ability. If you take the time to review, then I’ll take the time to reply. It might take me a while, but I’ll reply eventually. For those who don’t have an account, I’ll leave a reply in the author’s note of the next chapter. If the story’s completed, just know that I have read your review and appreciate it greatly. I try to review every chapter of a story I’m reading. Sometimes it works out, and sometimes it doesn’t. However, I do make sure to leave at least one review if I plan on favoriting/following a story. I do try to leave constructive criticism. If you don’t want criticism, then just let me know and I’ll stop. Favorite Shows: Psych, Doctor Who, Merlin, Fringe, Sherlock, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Angel, Castle, Chuck, NCIS, Criminal Minds, Firefly, Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D., Avatar: The Last Airbender, Legend of Korra, Teen Titans, Gravity Falls. Movies: Inception, Batman Begins, The Avengers (2012), The Amazing Spider Man, Captain America, Iron Man, Thor 1&2 (seeing a trend here?) Now You See Me, Dead Poets Society, Jimanji, The A-Team, really any old Disney movie, and probably a lot more than I’m not remembering. I’m always looking for new shows, movies, and books, so if you have any suggestions, or just want to talk, feel free to hit me up! Favorite Quotes: "There are two types of folks who sit around thinking about how to kill people: psychopaths and mystery writers." - Castle (Castle) "If there ever comes a day when we can't be together, keep me in your heart, I'll stay there forever." - Winnie the Pooh “Some people live more in 20 years than others do in 80. It’s not the time that matters, it’s the person.” “When you’re a kid, they tell you it’s all… Grow up, get a job, get married, get a house, have a kid, and that’s it. But the truth is, the world is so much stranger than that. It’s so much darker. And so much madder. And so much better.” – Elton Pope Doctor Who (Season 2 Episode 10) “The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.” “In 900 years of time and space, I’ve never met anyone who wasn’t important” “Everybody knows that everybody dies. But not every day. Not today. Some days are special. Some days are so, so blessed. Some days, nobody dies at all. Now and then, every once in a very long while, every day in a million days, when the wind stands fair and the Doctor comes to call, everybody lives.” “We’re all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?” “This is my timey-wimey detector. Goes ding when there’s stuff. It can also boil an egg at thirty paces . . . whether you want it to or not actually, so I’ve learned to stay away from hens. It’s not pretty when they blow.” – The Doctor (Doctor Who) "We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for. To quote from Whitman, "O me! O life!... of the questions of these recurring; of the endless trains of the faithless... of cities filled with the foolish; what good amid these, O me, O life?" Answer. That you are here - that life exists, and identity; that the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. That the powerful play *goes on* and you may contribute a verse. What will your verse be?" - John Keating (Dead Poets Society) "I lock myself in my room and think and read. I read a great deal. It's the only way we have to lead more lives than one." -John D. MacDonald “A writer takes earnest measures to secure his solitude and then finds endless ways to squander it.” – Don DeLillo “The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who can’t read them.” – Mark Twain “A writer who waits for ideal conditions under which to work will die without putting a word on paper.” – E.B White “ I can't spend the night in the museum. I don't have my toothbrush, I don't have my multi-vitamins, and oh yeah, I don't want my soul suffering eternal damnation for disrupting the sleep of an Egyptian canal digger. “ – Gus (Psych) Juliet: You told the dead clown story, didn't you? “Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.” – Dr. Seuss “We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness in compatible with outs, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.”- Dr. Seuss “And is it fair that Pluto has to live in a dog house, while Goofy, who’s also a dog, gets to drive around and play golf with Mickey? . . .It’s just something that’s always bothered me.” – Louis Stevens (Even Stevens) " 'Raven, I know you like waffles!' 'More than life itself.' " Teen Titans "Three words; disgruntled, radioactive clone." Beast Boy ( Teen Titans) "JJ: [discussing Hotch's newborn baby] He's so gorgeous. Haley: Thank you. Reid: You find baldness and wrinkles attractive?"-Criminal Minds "Reid: Hey can you guys do me a favor? Morgan: Anything. Reid: Could at least one of you look like you're going to see me again? [The rest of the team shares a look] Hotch: See you when you get back" -Criminal Minds "Elle: Um, Reid you probably saved my life in there. Reid: Probably? I totally saved your life. And I'm pretty certain it's caught on tape." -Criminal Minds |
