Author has written 1 story for Generation Dead.
I'm really new at fanfic and right now I am working on finding my voice in my writing. I am working on a story that is based in Daniel Water's universe but does not share any characters with the books at this time. I felt that he is writing their story and I could not do any better. Plus if I tried I would probably have to edit the story when he puts out another book because the inconsistencies would drive me mad! I like playing in his sandbox and might incorporate some characters over time (maybe Tommy and his blog).
I read a decent amount of fanfic especially now that I have an ebook reader because I can take it with me and I don’t have to kill my eyes with the evil eye killing computer screen. I have no particular preference to any book or anything. I basically read the good stories and the ones that are really different and creative.
About me: I am an avid reader and of course, like everyone else here, I like to write and have been doing so in some form or another as long as I remember.
Favorite Books: Brave New World, Harry Potter, Pride and Prejudice, His Dark Materials, Lord of the Rings, The Book Thief, and a bunch of other stuff I don't have time to list.
Favorite TV Shows: Lost, Pushing Daisies (RIP), Alias, Buffy, Gilmore Girls, and a long list of teen dramas.
Favorite music: Well that is sort of a huge list but basically stuff from the late 60’s, 70’s, and 90’s (and small amounts of more recent music). I also have a strange obsession with some 80’s music (hair metal, new wave and what not). Basically the stuff I’m featuring in the soundtrack is the sort of thing I listen to and the music that inspires me.
A few of my favorite things: Books (I love the smell of old books I collect), zombies, children's and young adult literature, movies, musicals, video games, and J.J. Abrams.
It is a real place. It is a small town in northern Indiana. I lived there for a few years of my childhood and somehow it has sort of been this magical cool place to me. The town has some amazing architecture. Here are a few pictures of the place so you can see how cool it is.
The Isis. The theater is a tiny as the picture I swear.
The Winamac Community School. (I called it the wrong name at first but I am going to go fix that.)
This is the sort of house I imagine the Harpers would live in. Their house is grey. (The caption is referring to the Tippecanoe River.)
The shrine. (You will read more about this later.)
That was fun. I just thought I would share some of my research. I was feeling sentimental, sort of.
Some of my research on the Harper's new home.
