Author has written 7 stories for Star Trek: 2009, and Bones.
My rambling introduction:
I am a formally educated academic affiliated with the field of anthropology, and erotic fan-fiction is my guilty pleasure. Most of my stories are "Bones"-fiction. While my background is in cultural and linguistic anthropology, I certainly I am willing to contribute some help to other authors in anyway I can in terms of jargon or accuracy. Currently my "Bones" fics are one-shot "first-time" concepts, however, given the current status of the story line it would seem that those topics may shortly lose their relevance.
I am branching out into Star Trek 2009 fics as well. (I am am having a nerdy good time deconstructing Vulcan for fiction use...at least VLD allows me to play with Vulcan semiotics and memes!!) There is something disarming about the emotional connection between Spock and Nyota Uhura; it has left creative splinters in my brain that simply must come out.
More fiction is on its way, my schedule just has the let up a bit - three jobs and a master's thesis can be very demanding. (Fiction will appear as I have gaps in my thesis writing process; so when there is little activity on my end, it means I have a deadline.) Happy reading my smutty goodness!
BTW: Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who has R/R my stories. The train will keep going as long as there are passengers.
My obligatory survey:
If you could live in any other place, where and why?
I go where the current takes me; it’s in my heart to be fluid, so I try not to fight it.
What animal best represents you and why?
My animal familiar is the doe; we just get each other.
What is the craziest thing you ever did?
Be myself, for me and no one else.
If you could meet anyone, who would it be and why?
Elizabeth I; she stood her ground and took on the Spanish Armada with a dinghy.
If you could go back in time and live in any decade, which would it be and why?
I would like to go forward, not backwards. To travel backwards would be to deny the gifts life has bestowed.
If you could have any superpower what would it be?
Healing others – psychological and well as physical.
Who’s is your ultimate celebrity crush?
Zachary Quinto of course; I have a deep respect for formally educated artists. He articulates the human experience with expert craftsmanship and soul-gripping authenticity.
What color best represents you?
Red: it’s the color of the summer California sunrise, lips swollen and breathless, and the mark of my genetic defiance.
What would your life's theme song be?
Alien by Bush.
Who would you cast to play you in a movie?
A starving unknown fresh out of college.
If you became president, what would you do first?
Revise NAFTA, sever government ties to pharmaceutical companies, call for a reduction in arms, massive education reform, and the wide-spread legitimate green incentives.
If you got one tattoo, what would it be?
I am saving my nickels for a new one – in full color. Every so many years I make a sacrifice of flesh to honor the challenges I have overcome. It will be two phoenix feathers suspended from over my shoulders and descending nearly to my elbow. Sometimes, like a forest, we must set healing fires to our lives; clear away the death and sickness to allow for life to spring forth from the ashes. Often it’s the only way to become whole, again.
What sport best represents you and why?
Cross-country running; it’s a race for steady, calculated endurance.
What is your most missed memory of childhood?
Quiet moments spent with my Great Grammy.
What is your greatest accomplishment?
Giving my first professional presentation at a national conference when I was 21 years old.
