Author has written 18 stories for Fullmetal Alchemist.
I can't believe that I have been on FanFiction.Net for over a year! When I started writing fanfic, I wasn't sure that it would last. Now, I've written seven stories, and one of them is actually fairly long. I know that I'm not a very good writer, but it has been a lot of fun writing (most of the time). I have a sense of accomplishment, albeit a minor one for a minor accomplishment.
You can probably tell that I am fanatically involved with Fullmetal Alchemist, especially RoyAi. FMA is what got me started writing again. Before that, I had had a period of writer's block that was longer than most of you are old! That Arakawa is such a wonderful author and artist is evident in how so many of us care so much for her characters. I'd always been involved in fandoms, even before there were any. TV shows like the Star Treks and (showing my age, now) The Man From U.N.C.L.E. had characters that I loved and that triggered my imagination, but I didn't do anything with them.
Then came the Internet, and I learned that a couple of friends and I were not the only ones who liked to think about fictional universes and characters. I was amazed (and thrilled) that people actually 'published' their stories for shows like The X-Files and Buffy the Vampire Slayer as well as books like the Harry Potter and The Hunger Games series. It is just so wonderful that we can read (or see) each others' creative ideas.
The scanlations of FMA's final chapter will be out any time now. I guess that it will be up to us to keep the Elrics, Roy and Riza, and the rest of the gang alive. And, as for me, I hope that I continue to write in the FMA 'verse, but it would be nice to travel to other 'verses, also.
Thanks for checking in with me. Take care.
