"The power of imagination makes us infinite" - John Muir
Hi to everyone who will hopefully read my fanfiction.
My challenges and other forums can now be found here: My Forums
I also moderate the following forum, so if you enjoy my challenges, go and check out those by The Modern Sorcerer: The Sorcerer's Challenges
Now I don't moderate these ones, but given that the creators are members with FANTASTIC ideas, I think you should also check out any challenges in moonfeather58's forum and MathiasNightLord01's forum as well.
BEFORE the start of my profile's bio, here's a warning to ALL my readers: Time and time again, I have people either reviewing or PMing and asking me the same question: why is such-and-such no longer available on FFN? Well, pardon my frank attitude, but...DUH: it's not available because I deleted it and felt unable to continue. I don't do this to insult any of my readers or their reviews and the time they take to read my stories - particularly those reviewers who praise and compliment my work - I do it for one of three reasons:
Writer's Block - every creative writer's worst nightmare and my greatest of weaknesses.
Increased number of things that people point out to be wrong with the story that has nothing to do with the content - such as telling me that 'such-and-such isn't meant to happen' or some troll-dunged reason like that: IT'S CALLED FANFICTION FOR A REASON!
The final reason is either due to lack of inspiration - which is MY worst enemy at times - or lack of continuity in which even a rewrite would ruin the story.
So, with that in mind, here's my warning: if ANY more reviewers or PMers ask me about my stories being removed, then, simply put, I will just ignore you: at the end of the day, the stories are MINE and if you don't like them, then don't read them and, similarly, if I decide I can't continue then it's MY choice and not yours.
Sorry to all my loyal readers, but after years of problematic readers and messages asking the same questions over and over again, I decided that I'd had enough. With this in mind, I would also like to apologise to any who enjoy the stories I remove, but I guarantee that I do not give up so easily and only ever get rid of a story if there is no other way around this: Reason Number 3, remember?
I would also like to point out one simple fact that writing styles differ from person to person and that includes how spelling/grammar/use of phrases or even themes work out.
I mean, seriously guys, not mentioning names here, but when I say "If you don't like it, then don't read it..." I'm not just talking to those who offer criticisms to how I portray characters or write certain scenes, but I'm also talking to those people who are clearly OCD about tiny things like how I phrase certain sentences or how I write things in speech.
So, in future, if you see the words "If you don't like it, then don't read it..." (and you will because I put it in ALL my stories' Author's Notes at the top of the page) then don't just assume that I'm talking to people that have big things to whine about. I mean, don't get me wrong, I appreciate ALL reviews, I really do, but picky things and then calling them 'constructive criticisms' when it clearly makes sense to me and others that read the story AND enjoy it at the same time is...it's just silly.
Again, sorry to everyone that actually manages to look past the little details and enjoy a story for what it really is: A Fan-written story that I spend hours planning what details I can fit into it without losing the plot - and losing my mind - but that just grinds my gears, you know what I mean?
Anyway, now that's out of the way, I hope you all enjoy my fanfics and PLEASE keep reviewing...
Now, I feel I should explain the covers I use for my stories; I looked up images for 'Dark Harry' on Google in an attempt to try and find the right one to symbolise my stories and this was what I found best: now, whoever made it, they get the credit, and the same also applies to the covers for my stories: whoever originally posted them get credit for amazing images but it was just a brilliant image and perfect for me that...well, there it is.
Apparently, according to this quiz on Quizfarm.com, my HP alias is none other than the DARK LORD VOLDEMORT! (Was there any doubt?)
I am one of the many people that have IAOWHPD or the I Am Obsessed With Harry Potter Disorder.
Some of the symptoms may include, but do not limit to:
Blocking out the world when reading/watching Harry Potter
Reading/Watching Harry Potter over and over again and noticing new fantastic things each time
Wishing Hogwarts was real
Thinking that at least one character from Harry Potter is hot (Harry and Draco)
Comparing everything to Harry Potter or quotes by the characters therein
And making your own fantasy life about Harry Potter.
