Hi! XD

Well, to start my profile off, I'm Jess, I'm 18, and live in Australia as you can tell by the Australian flag up the top. I just finished my first year of uni and am all but completely out of my depth. Homework is evil!!!

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am The sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the sooft stars that shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
- Mary Frye's poem, commonly know as, 'Do not stand at my grave and weep'.

I found these poems on other people's profiles and after reading about what happened at Virginia Tech I decided to put this on my profile.

Try Not To Cry

Mommy...Johnny brought a gun to school,

He told his friends that it was cool,

And when he pulled the trigger back,

It shot with a great, huge crack.

Mommy, I was a good girl, I did what I was told,

I went to school, I got straight A's, I even got the gold!

When I went to school that day,

I never said good-bye,

I'm sorry that I had to go, But Mommy, please don't cry.

When Johnny shot the gun, he hit me and another,

And all because Johnny, got the gun from his brother,

Mommy, please tell Daddy; That I love him very much,

And please tell Zack; my boyfriend; That it wasn't just a crush.

And tell my little sister; That she is the only one now,

And tell my dear sweet grandmother; I'll be waiting for her now

And tell my wonderful friends; That they always were the best

Mommy, I'm not the first, I'm no better than the rest

Mommy, tell my teachers; I won't show up for class,

And never to forget this, And please don't let this pass

Mommy, why'd it have to be me? No one, though. deserves this.

But mommy, it's not fair, I left without a kiss.

And Mommy tell the doctors; I know that they really did try

I think I even saw one doctor, trying not to cry.

Mommy, I'm slowly dying, with a bullet in my chest,

But Mommy please remember, I'm in heaven with the rest

When I heard that great, big crack, I ran as fast as I could

please listen to me if you would,

I wanted to go to college, I wanted to try things that were new

I guess I'm not going with Daddy, On that trip to the new zoo

I wanted to get married, I wanted to have a kid,

I wanted to be an actress, I really wanted to live.

But Mommy I must go now, The time is getting late,

Mommy, tell my Zack, I'm sorry I to cancel the date.

I love you Mommy, I always have, I know you know it’s true

And Mommy all I need to say is, "Mommy, I love you”

In Memory of The Columbine & Virginia Tech
Students Who Were Lost

I personally have never been abused by a parent, but I've read about and seen the results and this is a small protest against child abuse.

My name is Tiffany

I am three,

My eyes are swollen

I cannot see,

I must be stupid

I must be bad,

What else could have made

My daddy so mad?

I wish I were better

I wish I weren’t ugly,

Then maybe my mommy

Would still want to hug me.

I can’t do a wrong

I can’t speak at all

Or else im locked up

All day long.

When im awake im all alone

The house is dark

My folks aren’t home

When my mommy does come home

I'll try and be nice,

So maybe ill just get

One whipping tonight.

I just heard a car

My daddy is back

From Charlie’s bar.

I hear him curse

My name is called

I press myself

Against the wall

I try to hide

From his evil eyes

I’m so afraid now

I’m starting to cry

He finds me weeping

Calls me ugly words,

He says its my fault

He suffers at work.

He slaps and hits me

And yells at me more,

I finally get free

And run to the door

He’s already locked it

And i start to bawl,

He takes me and throws me

Against the hard wall

I fall to the floor

With my bones nearly broken,

And my daddy continues

With more bad words spoken,

"I’m sorry!", I scream

But its now much to late

His face has been twisted

Into a unimaginable shape

The hurt and the pain

Again and again

O please God, have mercy!

O please let it end!

And he finally stops

And heads for the door

While i lay there motionless

Brawled on the floor

My name is tiffany

I am three,

Tonight my daddy

Murdered me

And you can help

Sickens me top the soul,

And if you read this

and don’t pass it on

I pray for your forgiveness

Because you would have to be

One heartless person

To not be effected

By this Poem

And because you are effected,

Do something about it!

So all i ask you to do

Is pass this on!

And now, QUOTES

Larry: Well, I'd say the public's decided on the question. I have an aunt who lives two blocks from the first shooting. She's afraid to go out on her front lawn now.
Charlie: Why don't you tell your aunt that statistically, she has a better chance of being mauld by a bear?
Larry: Actually, statistics would favour the bear being mauld by my aunt.

Stargate: Atlantis

Rodney McKay - In case you hadn't noticed, I'm an extremely arrogant man who tends to think all his plans will work.

(The end of 'The Eye')
John Sheppard - You say this happens every 20 years
Elizabeth Weir - That's what they tell us.
John Sheppard - How far in advance can we book days off?

John Sheppard - You heard the term 'two heads are better then one?'
Rodney McKay - That's a common misconception.
John Sheppard - (Exasperated, looking at the man pointing a gun at Rodney) Give me the gun, I'll shoot him myself!

Carson - (looking at life-sine's detector) How do we tell which one's Major Sheppard?
Aiden Ford - He'll be the dot taking out the other dots.

Stargate SG-1

Maybourne: Teal'c. It's good to see you well.
Teal'c: In my culture, I would be well within my rights to dismember you.

O'Neill: All right, describe for me the dress your sister wore last week when I took her out.
Jackson: I don't have a sister, Jack, and if I did, I wouldn't let you near her.

Teal'c: Have you not read the Bible, O'Neill?
O'Neill: Oh, yeah, yeah... Not all of it. Actually, I'm listening to it on tape. Don't tell me how it ends.

O'Neill about the Asgard: Usually they ask nicely before they ignore us and do what they damn well please.

Ianto: Oh, Jack? What do you want me to say on the death certificate?
Jack: Good question.
Ianto: She had quite a few deaths in the end.
Jack: I don't know. "Death by Torchwood."

Ianto: I have searched for the phrase "I shall walk the Earth and my hunger will know no bounds", but I keep get redirected to Weight Watchers.

House, M.D.

(WARNING!! These quotes have an Atheist quality, enjoy!!)

Robet Chase: You're going to talk to a patient?
Greg House: God talks to him. It would be arrogant of me to assume that I'm better then God.

Greg House: So, you're a faith healer. Or is that a pejorative, you'd prefer something like 'devine health management'? Thought God might have mentioned I was coming?
Stanley Boyd: I'm okay with 'faith healer' Dr. House.
Greg House: (pretends to be shocked) Wow, that's a nice one. Didn't even go with, I see an H in a medical coat.
Stanley Boyd: The nurses talk about you a lot.
Greg House: Bah, don't believe them. I keep a sock in my pants. Faith, that's another word for ignorance, isn't it? Never could understand how people could be so proud believing in something with no proof at all, like that's an achievement.
Stanley Boyd: God's asking for our trust. You can't love someone and not trust them.
Greg House: Trust has to be earned. Can't trust someone hiding in a closet.
Stanley Boyd: You don't trust anyone.

James Wilson: (Talking about House to a patient) Excuse me. I have a friend with...boundary issues.
James Wilson: (Outside with House) Can this wait five minutes?
Greg House: Is she dieing?
James Wilson: Yeah.
Greg House: Before the end of this consult?
James Wilson: They could build monuments to your self-centredness.
Greg House: Patient. Fifteen-year-old. Faith healer. Hot line to God.
James Wilson: What are his symptoms.
Greg House: He is not a saint. He figures out what's going on in people's lives by watching, listening, deducing.
James Wilson: You're worried about trademark infringement?
Greg House: Then, he passes on advice from God so he can watch them jump. It's a power trip.
James Wilson: Ah, and there the similarities end. Why is he here?
Greg House: I fear for the human race. A teenager claims to be the voice of God and people with advanced degrees are listening.
James Wilson: A majority of Americans believe in a personal God. What are his symptoms?
Greg House: Massive cramps, low sodium. Turns out he's been drinking water non stop, God told him to purify his body.
James Wilson: Huge water intake would cause low sodium.
Greg House: Which would cause the cramping, yeah, I get it.
James Wilson: Well, what? That's it? You solved it? You just brought me out here to rant annoys you?
Greg House: Mm-hm. He's all better. You know, I'd get it if people were just looking for a way to fill in the holes. But they want the holes, the wanna live in the holes. And they go nuts when someone else goes and fills dirt into their holes. (Shouts to the rooftops) Come out of your holes people!!
Wilson shakes his head and walks away

Greg House: Isn't is interesting, that religious behaviour is so close to being crazy that we can't tell them apart?

James Wilson: Do you think God wants you to die?
Stanley Boyd's father: This is the way The Lord often is with his...chooses ones. He...he gives the most trials to the ones he loves the most.
Greg House: (Condescending) How sweet. You abdicate your authority, avoid those tricky parental issues, like whether to let him drive at sixteen. Just let him die at fifteen.

I apologise in advance, my spelling is awful! Even spell check can’t help me. So, you see a spelling mistake, look the other way and pretend it never happened.

I'm the worlds second most forgetful person, so knowing I’ll forget, my disclaimer, I am making no money from anything I write and never will. So if you wish to sue me, it's not worth the money to pay the lawyer.
