Hello! Some of you (though I highly doubt it) may know me as Hiei-Touya-icedemon, a writer on this very site. However, I have moved on from that account for various reasons.
Let me first clarify that Fanfiction.net had NOTHING to do with my change. I was not banned, blocked, or in any way overpowered on that account. I love and adore that account, but I felt that it was time to move on.
To explain: I created Hiei-Touya-icedemon (or Touya) when I was much younger. Fifth grade. While I am very proud of the growth I achieved over the course of that name, the gap between the writer I was then and the writer I am now is ENORMOUS. The reason there was such a huge span of time between when I stopped updating the majority of my stories as Touya and the creation of this account is that I stopped writing fanfiction for a long time in order to focus on more original stories. In that time I finished a near three-hundred page book that I hopefully intend to publish. Because it has been so long, and my interests fan-wise have changed so much, I find it only fitting that I create a new account.
There is also the matter that some of my stories (not many, though on occassion inspiration will strike) are too adult for many of my former readers. I don't know how old they were, but if they enjoyed my earlier stories, I don't want to throw down a bunch of mature material and ruin their image of the author I was. Honestly, it ISN'T about me protecting my image, it's about helping them.
You may wonder why I don't choose to simply delete my old stories. After all, if I have a following, why get rid of it? But there are many people who loved those gentler, childish stories, and I don't want to take them away from them. I've had some of my favorite stories deleted by authors, and I was always sorely disappointed. Since I am a writer at heart and love and adore my readers, I won't delete my stories, even if it is extremely unlikely I'll ever update them. So at least they can read them again, if they so desire.
So. Down to business. While my old readers knew me as Touya, I figure I've opened up enough to let you call me by my first name - Megan. Though you can find this on my old profile, I was born on February 22, I'm a girl (clearly, by my first name,) and a huge bookworm. Aaaaand...I think that's enough for now. So, without further ado, onto the writing!
