Because the Air is Real

A five year old girl is jump roping on a walkway in the middle of the park

Her name is Christabelle, Belle for short

As Belle jump ropes, she sings “Jesus Loves Me”

The sound of her rope hitting the cement keeps her beat

“Jesus doesn’t love you.”

Seven year old Derfael’s voice causes Belle to stop singing and jumping simultaneously

“That’s not true, Fae, Jesus does love me – He loves you too” she says to the little boy

“He can’t love anyone ‘cause Jesus ain’t real.”

“He is real, Fae,” Belle says to the little boy, appalled that someone could doubt the reality of Jesus Christ

“Well how do you know?” he asks

“Because the air is real,” the young girl replies simply

Confused, the boy asks, “What’s that got to do with anything?”

“I know that Jesus is real because the air is real;

You don’t see it, but you know it’s there because you can breathe.

And I know that Jesus is real because he made you and me and everything else.”

“As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let us down probably will. You'll have your heart broken and you'll break others' hearts. You'll fight with your best friend or maybe even fall in love with them, and you'll cry because time is flying by. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, forgive freely, and love like you've never been hurt. Life comes with no guarantees, no time outs, and no second chances. You just have to live life to the fullest, tell someone what they mean to you and tell someone off, speak out, dance in the pouring rain, hold someone's hand, comfort a friend, fall asleep watching the sun come up, stay up late, be a flirt, and smile until your face hurts. Don't be afraid to take chances or fall in love and most of all, live in the moment because every second you spend angry or upset is a second of happiness you can never get back.”

“Somewhere, someone, dreams of your smile and finds your presence in life worth while, so remember that when you are lonely someone somewhere is thinking of you.”

“Whatever happens, happens!”

“As you grow up,
you learn the difference
between falling in love
and holding hands.
Kissing doesn't always
mean something,
promises can be broken
as quickly as they were made,
and sometimes,
goodbyes really are forever...”

“Believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go. Things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right. You believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.”

-Marilyn Monroe

“People are going to disappoint you. I get that. I kind of EXPECT that.”

“Pain is just doesn't feel that way at first.”

“Who will tell whether one happy moment of love or the joy of breathing or walking on a bright morning and smelling the fresh air, is not worth all the suffering and effort which life implies.”

“I have had a perfectly wonderful evening, but this wasn't it.” -Unknown

“I didn't like the play, but then I saw it under adverse conditions - the curtain was up.”
- Groucho Marx

“Friendship is like peeing on yourself: everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings.” -Unknown

“It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.”

“Most men are like parking spots, the good ones are taken and the free ones are handicapped in some way.”

“Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.”

Things That Make Me Question the Unbeliever’s Psych

John Lennon said, "Christianity will end, it will disappear. I do not have to argue about that. I am certain. Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple. Today we (the Beatles) are more famous than him." He was shot 6 times.

Tancredo Neves said that if he got 500,000 votes for the presidential office of Brazil, not even God himself could remove him from office. He died the day before he was inaugurated.

Bruce Ismay and Thomas Andrews said that not even God could sink the Titanic. Well, we all know what happened to them ;)

Billy Graham visited Marilyn Monroe and told her that God had sent him to preach to her. She said, "I don't need your Jesus." She was found dead a week later.

In Brazil, a group of drunken friends were going out for a drive. One of the girl’s mother said to her, "My daughter, go with God and may He protect you." The girl replied, "Only if He rides in the trunk, 'cause inside here, it's already full." A few hours later, the car was in an accident that killed everyone. The car was crushed, save the trunk, which, investigators say, should have been smashed. Inside was a crate of eggs, not one of them hurt.

Christine Hewitt said that the Bible was the worst book ever written. She was later found burnt in her vehicle beyond recognition.

There was once a man who lived a long life. At the end of his life, he had a vision that he was walking with God down a beach.

As he turned back, he realized that he could see his footsteps spreading out behind him, each one showing a different time in his life. Amazed, he noticed that some showed prosperous times, and others signified the difficult times he had gone through.

He noticed that there were two sets of footsteps in the sand...his, and God's. When he looked closer though, he noticed that at times, there was only one set of footsteps...and these were at the times when his life had been hardest.

Outraged, he turned to God. "Why did you abandon me?" he demanded. "Why did you leave me alone when my life grew hard. Those were the times that I needed you!"

God turned to the man with sad eyes. "I was always with you," he replied. "At the times when your life was difficult, that was not when I abandoned you...

That was when I carried you."
