Stepping off the concrete, and onto the sky...
Where did we leave off,
and where did we begin?
Doing a foxtrot in the sky
Flying on my musical wings...--
Do you know the speed at which cherry blossoms fall?
What do I have to do to be able to see you again?
We think a flower on a cliff is beautiful
because we stop our feet at the cliff's edge,
unable to step out into the sky
like that fearless flower"
- poem from bleach volume 12, "flower on the precipice"

About me and my fanfiction habits:
I don't really search the normal forums anymore. There are too many untalented writers that clog up the archives with Mary Sues, Gary Stus, and plotlines gone to hell. I can't take the plotlines anymore. If I fave you or your story, it's becuase I actually believe you've got something of worth. And I don't drop compliments about literature around like crazy. Because of this, I usually go through my favorite authors' favorites lists and search from there, or surf the crossover archives. I like humor, humanism, and realistic potrayal. I don't like it when authors break cannon characters' cannon personalities without explanation or good reason first. I like new ideas. I'm a fangirl of hetero romance and BL (with yaoi on top :L ).
My biggest (current) influence is my Media Literature teacher. He has a personal belief that when he becomes so inflexible that he can't sit and listen to other peoples' viewpoints that he should just quit his job. He talks about controversial matters and all the different sides of arguments in order to get his students to think outside the box, and to get them to realize that the world isn't such a terrible place after all. So go ahead and break cultural norms. I'll prolly keep reading it your fic anyway. It's refreshing to say the least, to be able to see people break out of their molds and shape their own opinions. I help others shape their own opinions (particularily younger kids) and come to their own conclusions. There's nothing I hate more than people who don't think for themselves.
please God, give me the strength, and a strong enough blade, to shatter the wheel of fate...
