Author has written 4 stories for Twilight.
Now that I am actually attempting to write a story, I thought I should put something in my profile.
What to say? I live in the Northeast US. I am a wife, a mother and owner of a very stupid dog. Yup. That is about it.
I read entirely too much fanfiction. Unfortunately, I am crazed about good spelling/grammar. I am definitely not perfect, but poor spelling and bad grammar have ruined so many promising stories for me. Please take the time to use spell checker. Please.
One thing I have to say is that I will finish any story I write. There are too many fabulous stories out there that have been essentially abandoned by their authors. In my humble opinion, in most instances readers/writers are symbiotic. Readers provide moral support and constructive criticism while authors provide hours of wonderful entertainment. Readers should be kind in their reviews and be patient in waiting for updates. In return, writers should make every effort to finish their stories.
Hmmm. Let me say something about my story 'Premature Love'. It is based upon my life and the lives of my children. I had a very complicated pregnancy that led to the birth of my twins 13 weeks early. My personal story is not a picture perfect HEA. Life is just too complicated for that. If you have any questions or comments about preemies or infertility/IVF or the effects of prematurity on children from a mother's perspective, PM me. I would love to chat. I am in the process of writing a story about infertility and how it affects relationships.
My story "And Away We Go" is 100% based on the lives of my twins after being released from the NICU. It is real life. There are no magic fixes or perfect HEA. But, I have two great kids that I wouldn't trade for the world.
My story about Tornadoes is based on my experiences living in tornado alley. My family lives about 10 miles south of where that tornado hit Joplin, MO last May. I also grew up in tornado alley in Kansas (let's just say that in school with had fire drills like twice a year, but had tornado drills every 6-9 weeks - the ol' get-your-ass-in-the-hallway-and-duck-and-cover). I've seen my fair share of twisters. And let me just say, you know those twisty slides on playgrounds, they are called "tornado slides" where I come from. People here in the NE call them all sorts of weird names. They are tornado slides. End of story.
My story Obsessions came from me watching an episode of "Intervention" then seeing a picture of an antique? broken dish. It has absolutely nothing to do with my real life. Good god, I have enough on my plate!
I have posted some pictures of the babies in my story 'Premature Love'. You can find them on my hotmama4jd facebook page.
My eternal gratitude goes to my beta cocoalvin. She is fast, insightful and supportive - everything I could ever want in a beta.
