Author has written 2 stories for Sookie Stackhouse/Southern Vampire Mysteries.
Status of A Royal Engagement: I have NOT given up on this story! At first I had some major writer's block. So I used the time to read real books. *gasp* I got sucked into three series - Outlander by Diana Gabaldon, Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost, & Black Dagger Brother by J.R. Ward. Then I just got busy with various things. HOWEVER, I am currently going back to past chapters to both reread & also to edit typos & wording I don't like. (You won't have to reread if you don't want to, I'm not changing anything plot wise.) The muse is flitting around my head again, so my hope is that once I get through the first nine chapters, I'll be able to start writing again. That's my hope anyways. I'll update this area again if that's not what happens.
I'm 30 and completely obsessed with the Sookie Stackhouse novels. I have always loved to read but I have become completely obsessed with the Sookieverse like nothing else I have ever read. (I'm pretty sure it's because Sookie & Eric have a certain amount of sarcasm that I relate well too. Sarcasm is one of my closest friends!) I heard about True Blood being referred to as "Twilight for adults" but didn't (& still don't) have HBO so I just read about it online. (And after hearing about what AB is doing to the show, I'm not sure I ever really want to watch it. It would probably piss me off too much.) When I found out it was based on a book I bought Dead Until Dark. I finished it in a day or two and then bought & devoured the next 7. I finished book 8 a few days before book 9 came out. Book 9 left me with mixed feelings. I was glad Eric & Sookie were getting back to somewhat of a relationship and had high hopes but then I was crushed and disappointed by the end of book 9. I'm still hoping that all of book 9 was just the catalyst for Sookie to finally grow up & realize that time is too short to play games and run from her feelings. Only time will tell. Shortly after, I found FanFiction.net and I've been consumed with reading all the goodness that all of the wonderful authors here have blessed us with!
I finally posted a one-shot for the Poppin' Cherries contest and found the "review crack" is just as addicting as everyone says it is. So, I've started my first multi-chapter fic. It's an AU story, A Royal Engagement, and I am really excited about it. My goal is to post every Friday morning, but I definitely try to get the next chapter out by Sunday night.
On Twitter? So am I. I'm not that exciting, but if you want to follow me, I'm at www.twitter.com/SuzapaloozaFF
Thank you to everyone that voted for The Pact in the Poppin' Cherries contest! I am completely in awe and incredibly touched that you all loved the story so much!
