Author has written 2 stories for Twilight.
I am currently in my final year of graduate school which leaves me little time to focus on writing creatively. Fallen Angels is not dead yet, but I'm not sure when I will have an opportunity to work on it again.
My name is Kimberly, and I'm a 38-year-old mom, graduate student, college media adviser, and aspiring author. I originally hail from the HOT state of Florida, but I'm currently enjoying a peaceful small-town existence in Pennsylvania. I've known my whole life that I wanted to become a writer. At 8-years-old, I could usually be found playing with my mother's typewriter or scribbling stories down in a notebook. I staged little dramas with my Barbies or Star Wars action figures, and as I got older would watch movies and think of ways I could make them better.
My life hasn't changed much from those early days. I graduated in 2008 with my BA in English/Writing and will graduate with my MA in Language and Literature in 2014. When I'm not chasing kids around the house I'm usually found pecking away on my computer. In addition to Fallen Angels, I'm currently working on three other projects. Two are contemporary romantic fiction, and one is a three-volume contemporary fantasy based on Celtic myth and mysticism. If all goes well, I hope to have the first book in the trilogy published soon. Of course, that depends a lot on dividing my time between projects and school.
I began writing fanfiction as a fun little diversion to give myself a break from the pressure of my more serious projects. However, I have to say that I became even more engrossed in writing about Bella and Edward than I ever imagined I would. My muse seems to love them, and most nights they are the only characters she allows me to think about. Wide Awake and The Red Line were the first fanfics I'd ever read, and to this day I believe the two combined (along with an intense love for the Twilight saga) are what inspired me to begin my own.
A few additional hobbies of mine:
Creating book covers and banners for my friends on Paint Shop Pro (PSP)
Making (and watching) music videos for YouTube (Twilight, LOTR, and NCIS)
Singing, music, and recording (I've been told I'm pretty good, however beauty is in the eye--or in this case, ear--of the beholder)
Reading (I'm partial to Shakespeare, Chaucer, and Yeats. But some of my favorite contemporary authors are Stephenie Meyer, Nicholas Sparks, Steven King, and Bill Bryson)
WORDS WORDS WORDS!! I'm in love with my thesaurus and online dictionaries. I love playing with word order, etymology, sentence structure, and the like. I have an addiction to editing...just ask my good friend, a.keim!
