Author has written 1 story for Gypsy.
I'm sixteen and I'm a sophomore in high school.
I listen to music a lot. It's mainly Broadway, even though I listen to country too. I am officially LUPWNED - she is a wondeful actress, even though I don't necessarily like her in everything. I love her. I am also a fan of a lot of other Broadway stars - Boyd Gaines, George Hearn, Davis Gaines, Clom Wilkinson, Michael Cerveris, among others. Favorite show right now is probably Avenue Q, closely followed by WICKED, GYPSY, Sweeney Todd, and Jekyll & Hyde. I have not seen Avenue Q live, just the clips on YouTube (I LOVE the Bad Idea Bears), nor have I seen Sweeney Todd live, just the clips on YouTube of the reivval and the 2001 in Concert verison. The other three I have seen live - WICKED, I saw down at Norfolk at the Chrysler; GYPSY I actaully saw on Broadway at the St. James Theatre on my fifteenth birthday 2:00 performance (I could go on all day about this); and Jekyll & Hyde I saw at my high school, the production my school did. I went with a friend, and it's the only musical she's seeen and she likes it (artist-girl731). She's a big Tokio Hotel fan. We love you, Nigel! Nigel, you know who you are. I was in Choir with you for a year, I saw you in Jekyll & Hyde, I heard you sing What You Own with Jeremy, As Long as You're Mine with Corrine, This is the Moment, that song on the 26th of May (What language was that?) 2009, singing (well, maybe shouting) the four 'One day more's from the back of the room (and the back of the risers) when we would practice the song before the concert, heard you sing Bring Him Home and told you you did a really good job (Yeah, remember that?) siging it, and I told you you did a good job in Jekyll & Hyde. When I audictioned for one of the solos (don't remember which one, but I think it was for the March concert) I remember you applauded and I remember posting on your Facebook page 'You made my day.' Nigel, you rock and I love you.
I write stories a lot too. Some of them are pieces of complete shit, but others are actaully pretty good. I read too. I think I read too much for my own good. I'm in the process of reading about five books right now, and I have a lot more that I've bought and haven't read that I should read over the summer.
I have another account on here that I post most of my fan fics on - PatriciaRoseLovett. This account I made for letters (one apiece) that two of the characters in GYPSY write to each other (three guesses which two) but don't send because they don't have the nerve to (which is shocking for one of them). I write way too many fics for the GYPSY fandom, but I can't help it! I might write a Sweeney Todd fic that I'll post if I think it's any good.
Continuing with seeing GYPSY live on my fifteenth birthday ... I saw the 2:00 performance that day and I absolutely adored it. Oh, my God! Everyone was amazing! It actaully led to me getting the She Loves Me CD for the 1993 revival with Boyd in it. But that's beside the point. I wish I had it on tape so I could watch it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and remember everything, even though I do remember parts of it - end of You'll Never Get Away from Me, (upon which I actually wrote a fan fic - a crappy one, I might add), the end of the show, when Herbie leaves (I actaully started singing Who Needs Him? (how many people have heard that one before? it's one of the cut songs) to myself), end of You'll Never Get Away from Me, Dainty June and Her Famr Boys/Broadway, All I Need is the Girl, Rose's Turn (does that count as the end of the show?), The Strip, end of You'l Never Get Away from Me, some of the scene between Madame Rose's Toreadorables and Together Wherever We Go. After we saw the show, since it was almost five, we went to Bubba Gump's for dinner, and my mom told them that it was my birthday. A little bit after she told them that, they brought out a dessert and our waiter (Kai) got me to stand up and proceeded to announce to our entire side of the restaurant that it was my birthday, I was thirty-five, and I liked to dance. And the thing is my mom got it on camera. If enough people ask me, I'll put it up on YouTube. Kai, if you're reading this, hi! Message me.
Anyways, that about wraps it up for now. Thanks for reading the entire thing if you've made it this far. I really appreciate it.
15 July 2009 Update: I was thinking back to the day I saw GYPSY (my 15th birthday (see above)), I remember that people applauded for Boyd when he came on in the scene before 'Small World' and, in hindsight, it stumps me as to why they know who he is. I, personally, know him because of the show, but do they know him from his TV career or did they actually see him in other things on Broadway or what? It stumps me. Cookies to whoever helps me out.
23 February 2010 Update: I'm SO sorry that I haven't posted anything in AGES. I've almost completely forgotten about - no, lie. I've COMPLETELY forgotten about this account, but I'm not gonna close it coz I've got a story up on this account that I'm proud of (Shattered). I think I'm gonna remove the other letter and the chaptered story, just because I don't like the letter and I have absolutely NO idea what I'm gonna do with that chaptered fic now, or even where I am without looking at it. So I'm gonna delete them, but I'm gonna keep them on file in the notepad of my Yahoo! account. So have fun reading the ONE thing I have left on this account. Oh, and if you wanna go friend me on Facebook (if anyone's reading this), just go to Facebook and type in Maggie Rose Thacher (coz I'm not giving away my real name). That's me, with the cartoon icon.
