Hey, how's it going? I'm Oreochema! No, not like the cookie. So what does it mean? It's pronounced "oh-ree-oh-KEE-muh" and it means "Mountain Winter Storm." Believe it or not, I got the name from a book I received for Christmas when I was seven years old. The book was about dinosaurs and prehistoric organisms. Oreochema, which was originally spelled 'Oreochima,' was a small green/silver/red, 1-inch-long fish. After a few years I started using the name Oreochema for my Internet profiles, gaming profiles, and other little things, except I had been spelling it wrong. But instead of changing it, I kept it as my own, not only because I liked it better, but because it had somewhat become part of me.
Anyway, enough about my name.
I am an Airman in the United States Air Force and am currently engaged in my operational job, which I can't talk about because it's classified.
The picture that I'm using for my avatar, the one you see above, is a creature I made up as part of a story about a shapeshifter. I didn't draw, it though. It was commissioned from an artist on DeviantArt. Her profile can be found here: thetundraghostDOTdeviantartDOTcom
I am a born-again Christian, and not afraid to say it, and I am simply a nerd when it comes to the English language. I love grammar. I like using it; I like correcting it; I just like it. My dad thinks of me as weird for using proper grammar and speaking formally, but that's just who I am, and I'm not going to change for anyone, not even my dad. (Sorry, Dad.) Oh, yes, and spelling. I'm pretty good at spelling, too.
As far as music goes, I'm a soundtrack sort of person. If I see a movie or play a video game that I like the music to, I go out and buy the soundtrack. There are a few exceptions, of course. I listen to Enya, Yanni, Smashmouth, and various other songs that happen to catch my ear. Lately I've been really into trailer and advertising music; my favorite artists in that genre include Two Steps From Hell, Audiomachine, Epic Score, and Epic North, among others.
I have been a huge fan of Kim Possible for a long time, and other than my fanfictions of that show, I have a few stories of my own that I've been working on. Some of them may be getting flushed, but I have yet to decide for sure. But if you decide you're interested in anything else I may have written, go over to Deviant Art and search for Oreochema. It's the same for both places. As a matter of fact, I enjoy getting critique on those pieces as much as the ones I have here. If you don't have a Deviant Art profile, though, you can't post comments there, so just toss them into a Private Message here on Fan Fiction if you don't feel like creating a dA account!
Anyway, that's all for now. If I think of anything else, I'll add it to my profile!
