Author has written 11 stories for NCIS. It looks like several folks have come to my profile looking for information about me. So here is something for those who are interested. I write technical data and proposals in real life. I am a hetero male with four grown children, one grand child and one great grand child. I spent twenty-two years in the United States Air Force and retired as a Chief Master Sergeant, thus the moniker. After retiring from the USAF, I worked eighteen years in civil service for the USAF and retired from there, too. I have a job with an aerospace company and have recently moved from full time to part time toward full retirement. I live in Texas. I grew up reading - a lot, and I would burn through several books a week even as a preteen - still do, although a great deal of my reading right now is Firefly fan fiction. I have gotten to the point that I don't review as many stories as I once did. Although I have favorite authors that I review religiously when I read a new story from them. There are several things that will cause me to quit a story: 1) poor spelling (use a spell checker or a beta reader for goodness sake), 2) poor grammar, 3) sloppy dialog, 4) incomplete research especially as regards military matters, and 5) a poor plot line. Okay, I'll forgive some incomplete research if the story is really good. |
