Author has written 23 stories for Prince of Tennis, Total Drama series, One Piece, Sym-Bionic Titan, and Sket Dance.
Current Status: I realize I've been on hiatus for a long while, mostly due to the fact that I lost interest in continuing some of the old fics I've started. Honestly speaking, my interest in writing fanfictions has progressively gotten worse over the years and I currently have no plans on continuing writing anytime soon. But hey, that spark of passion may return. We'll just have to see.
Stuff You Might Need To Know:
My spelling and grammar are terrible, though I have improved over the years. Honestly I cringe every time I reread my old stories, so much bad everything. I've thought of getting a beta, but am hesitant on trusting someone, that I'm not even sure is reliable, just to point out my errors. I reply to all reviews, if it's possible to, and respond to messages as fast as I can. I'm imperfect but eh, it's who I am. Any questions, just ask away!
Reason For Making This Account- I like reading stories and may try writing my own, if I ever get around to it.
Reason For Pen Name- "It was a dark and stormy night..." It's a famous line that stuck with me throughout the years.
Reason For Picture- I was bored.
Description of Self- A person of the female persuasion that needs to seriously get their shit together and get back to work.
Writing Style- My style is nothing too terribly distinguishable but I find it somewhat unique. Ideas come to me often but I am always conflicted on where to continue. I enjoy writing and am thankful for any and all review on my work.
Update Status-My status is completely irregular as I have to be in the right mood to do anything. Whenever I feel inspired, I write down a few ideas or expand on old ones. However I do get a jolt of writing energy whenever I see people demanding/asking for more. If I know people want more of my writings, I'm more likely and motivated to update quicker.
Likes- Anime/Manga, Reading, Writing, Internet, Music, Animals, Daydreaming, Sleeping, Friends, Nature, Photography, Dance
Dislikes- Super horrid grammar and spelling, Editing, Computer issues, Writers block, Art block, Heat, Waking up early, Stereotypes
Original Characters (OC)- I honestly dislike OC's in writing (this includes reader inserts), so I avoid having them at any cost in my writing and only use them for miniscule rolls. Whenever I'm reading descriptions, if I even see the mention of one, I immediately keep scrolling. There are just so many cliches with them that it turns me off quickly. It might be just that I've read some bad Marysue fics, but I just can't stand them. I even hate the stories where people purposefully make fun of Marysues. If you're going to take your time to create your own character, why not create your own universe to put them in? Don't hold yourself back by trying to squeeze yours into the world of another. Despite my hatred of them, there are a few stories I do not mind having them in.
Writing Preferences- Typically I enjoy reading any form of writings, though I am not a huge fan of: crack, crossovers, or typical supernatural fics. Writing wise, I tend to lean more heavily on friendship and angst. I'm not sure why, I assume it is because I find it easier it write about.
Real Life Shipping- I'm not afraid to admit that I do like fics/fanart of real life shipping, aka real people and not just live action characters. As long as there's no intense bashing of the actual people and their partners, then I am okay with it. As fanfic-writers, we know that this is all completely fictional (hopefully). I've read some kinky things in my career and people know it's false. Until the actual person says that it is not okay, then I don't see the harm in it. I am not a fan of those that label a person with certain traits or preferences based on the content the public sees. Do not try and force your ideals on a person who has stated specifically they are not what you claim them to be. However, I do not see myself writing any form of real life shipping at any point in the future.
Opinion on the original 'Big Three'- How I rank them it goes from (fav to non) One Piece, Bleach, then Naruto. One Piece is something I grew up on and is what got me seriously addicted to anime. Though I unfortunately remember the 4Kids days, it did not ruin the series for me. I read, watched the subs and dubs, and fell in love with it. Bleach is alright, it's the kind of series that I read the story arcs, occasionally read the recent chapters, and maybe watch if it happens to be on. Naruto is just not my cup of tea. My original opinion of it was very negative, however after its conclusion I decided to relax my views on it. The super fans of my childhood ruined the series for me but I might try looking in to someday. Even though I have differing opinions for each series, I have favorite characters in all of them.
Genre of Music- Currently a fan of: indie/rock, hiphop, house, post-hardcore, etc.
Singers/Bands- Currently a fan of: The 1975, Air Dubai, Madeon, Familijen, OK Go, Area 11, Ninja Sex Party, Starbomb, Studio Killers, The Wombats, Motionless in White, Sleeping With Sirens, Issues, The Witch Was Right, Imagine Dragons, Swedish House Mafia, Marianas Trench, etc.
Books- Deadline, The Moorechild, A Week in the Woods, The Bartimaeus Trilogy, The Tillerman Cycle, and The Shopaholic series.
This or That:
Yaoi, Yuri, or Hetero?- I like all, depending on the pairing. I do admit to being a little bit of a yaoi fangirl.
Shounen or Shoujo?- I have favorites in both categories, though I'm more interested in Shounen. Shoujo gets to be a little too much at times.
Dub or Sub?- Sub, definitely. I've met the English voice actors for some series and I respect their work, but other times it's just like a punch in the face. Some dubs are just so awful; I'm looking at you 4Kids. I do like some subs and don't mind watching them on TV.
Reading or Writing?- Tough one actually, I enjoy writing so much but often times find myself instead wishing that other people would write the ideas that I have. I haven't had time to read novels in a while but I read fanfictions quite often.
Fanfictions or Fanart?- I think maybe fanfictions, just because while I love a piece of art, I like reading about the story behind the image.
Long series or Short series?- Out of the long list of series I wish to tackle, I go for the shorter series first. I keep the long ones as a way to keep myself interested in that series for an extended period of time. However, if I get interested in a long series, I read at a frenzied pace to find out what happens next.
Updated or Completed series?- Of course I would have to say updated. The feeling of when a new chapter is released is just wonderful. Whenever a series ends, it always sadness me.
Current Up to Date (Ongoing) Anime/Manga Series...
I have many stories/ideas on my computer that I need to get around to finishing/editing. I have some from just about every fandom that I get unfortunately addicted to. Here's a little sneak-peek at the madness that is my writing.
I have a problem with starting stories, then losing interest in continuing them. The following is a list of series I have stories started on and will hopefully finish in the near future.
Bold = Most likely to write
Italics = Medium likely to write
Personally, some of my more favorite of the fanfictions I am currently in the middle of.
Series- Pirates of the Caribbean
Title- It's Only Genetics
Pairings- Possibly Jack/Will or none at all
Genre- Humor, Friendship?, Romance?
Summary- Will turns paranoid due to Jack's claim. Is it really true? I hope not!
Note- I feel like I could actually finish this if I wasn't so lazy and currently disinterested. I suppose after rewatching one of the films, I'll get back to work on this.
Status- Currently the beginning is done, too bad I'm conflicted on where to go from there.
Passage- Annoying really, what a few words can do to you. Plaguing your mind, disappearing then reappearing at the oddest times. Even if it's just a side comment or a petty insult, it sticks with you and stays there till it's either resolved or forgotten. Maybe I was just being overly paranoid or sensitive about it. Sure it's a tough topic for many and hardly anything for a select few, but certainly doubt must still be there?
Series- Kuroko no Basket
Pairings- Kiyoshi/Kuroko (Purely platonic)
Summary- Kiyoshi and Kuroko's first thoughts upon meeting. (That was basically the whole idea but now it's branching off from that).
Note- I only have little written for this, but rereading might change that.
Status- Unclear of how long I wish to make this, but it shouldn't take me long to...if I have the time or attention span.
Passage- The first time he met the mysterious boy was after practice, watching him fail at shooting. He was small, pale, and had an indifferent expression on his face when he spoke to him. So this practically invisible individual, was part of the infamous 'Generation of Miracles', and their hope? Kiyoshi tried, he really did, to remember the younger from their game in middle school, but honestly, nothing was ringing any bells. Did he even play? He must have. He might have vaguely recalled passes from nowhere, and a few stolen balls or so, but his sole attention was on another.
Title- What To Do When Your Protagonist Relives Puberty
Genre- Friendship, Tragedy?, Supernatural?
Summary- Due to an unfortunate accident, Gintoki is turned back into a child. Even worse, he has no memory. What will happen to our now vulnerable hero?
Note- I don't know why, but I just love hearing what other characters think of other characters. They're honestly speaking what they think of someone, it's interesting to hear their thoughts. This story idea stemmed from that as I wanted to formulate my own opinion for how everyone sees Gintoki now that he's indisposed. Multi-chapter fic.
Status- I have random bits and pieces of this written. The story seems to be running off on its own and I need to try to figure out what I'm doing with with.
Passage- "Why?" Gintoki asked in a small voice. "WHY!" His sobs filled the raging battlefield. "I don't want this. Why can't they stop? Why?" Tears poured from his eyes as he started pulling at his hair. "Sensei, please." Huddling in a pool of blood, he saw his terrified expression in the mix. Releasing his lip, Gintoki screamed in anguish.
Series- Prince of Tennis
Title- Those Childish Dreams
Genre- Horror, Supernatural, Friendship, Angst?
Summary- Something is lurking in Ryoma's dream. Will this nightmare become a reality?
Note- This story is based off of the Slender Man myth, I thought about how cool it would be to read a story of being stalked by him, so I decided to stalk Ryoma. I'm pretty decent at writing angst but horror is going to be an interesting trial. Multi-chapter fic.
Status- This is in random parts and I have a vague outline of what I want to do with it, but it's currently just madness on a word doc.
Passage- It was a strange feeling, one unlike any other. Ryoma was used to being stared at; the crowds when he played a match, the annoying fangirls in his class, and even those of his senpai stalking him for 'data'; but this time it was different. You know whenever you step on a twig and it makes that amazingly loud snap, making it seem everyone within miles could hear? That moment when your heart seems to stop and your body cannot move from the sheer terror of being heard, that was exactly how Ryoma felt.
