Author has written 1 story for Twilight.
I am a 5th and 6th grade science teacher from Alabama who fell in love with Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series when my students were all reading the books and raving about them. I figured if it could get my kids excited about reading, I'd better check it out. In my opinion, SM has created two of the top literary charcters in history in Edward and Bella. I mainly write stories that take place AFTER Breaking Dawn - although I have a few plot bunnies for AH stories - because to me, you can't improve on perfection, and that's what Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn are to me...perfection. I try to stay as close to canon as possible when writing my stories, and I always give credit where credit is due...mostly to SM.
It is because I am a teacher first and an author second that, after recent knowledge that people have been "stealing" other people's work from this site and posting it on other sites without their consent, I feel the unfortunate need to include the following disclaimer adapted from a fellow LEX member, Openhome.
We all use the ideas generated from the genius of fellow authors, and in a sense, all plagiarize their work. However, honest authors give credit to the sources of their works, and most give credit to all who help create their stories. If someone takes a story (or any portion of it) from another author and posts it someplace without asking permission or at least crediting the source, it is akin to stealing. This creates an atmosphere of mistrust for the author, and it reflects poorly upon the entire fanfiction community. So, please remember that we are all teachers in a sense, and regardless of what you write, if you got the idea from someone else, please give them their credit due.
