Author has written 86 stories for Voltron, Gundam Wing/AC, Sailor Moon, Yami no Matsuei, Gundam Seed, Halo, Gilgamesh, Ouran High School Host Club, Mushishi, Utena, Gundam 00, and Reign.
A student of Japanese literature, karaoke enthusiast and minor character junkie, the author known here as Experimental has gleefully pissed away epic amounts of free time writing in her anime fandoms. You might know me from GW fandom as RedCancer, or as A.C.Kayador, author of the (once) notoriously unfinished "Rubies in Zoisite."
Look me up over on AO3 for Yuri!!! On Ice and Elegant Youkai Apartment Life fics!
And come fandom with me on Twitter, @ExpeWrites.
18-11-4: Alright, so I lied. DX Well, not exactly. Turns out the climax of "Lost in Paradise" was too big for chapter 34, so now there are just two chapters left. (Which shouldn't come as any surprise to me, seeing as the one planned sequel to "Damaged" turned out to be WAY too big for one story. So, really, this is just in keeping with tradition?) Slowly all the loose ends are getting tied up, but hopefully there is still some unexploded ordinance lying in wait. Stay tuned for the actual penultimate chapter.
18-11-28: NOW we get to the penultimate chapter! Chapter 35 of "Lost in Paradise" is ready for reading. \:D/ Sorry for the delay. It's not overly long, but it's heavy. I'm actually gonna get this thing done by Christmas!
I think I mentioned at the beginning of this that I got hooked on YnM and Evanescence at the same time, and two songs really helped me to capture the feeling of the ending to this story: "Even In Death" (the original, 2000 version) and "Good Enough". (If there are any Gackt fans following, you might have noticed "death wish" and "Doomsday" were also inspirations. Maybe it's past time I made a playlist for this series...) I just have to give credit where it's due, because I don't think "Gone to Earth" or "Lost in Paradise" would ever have been written if not for Evanescence's music putting the images in my brain and refusing to let me ignore them.
19-1-8: It is finished! "Lost in Paradise" chapter 36, the final chapter, is up, and my apologies to readers because it is long enough to be its own fic. DX I wanted to give everyone a nice happy ending (or, you know, as happy as can be when 9/10 of the characters are already dead), but there were so many plot lines to address, I never thought I'd reach the end of it!
Now that I have, I want to thank everyone who supported me by reading and especially commenting along the way. It's been a blast and an honor to geek out over this series with the YnM fandom, and share with all of you this massive plot that's been so vivid in my head for so many years. After 300k words, I think I'm gonna need a little break from writing Yami no Matsuei for a while.
But I've plenty in the pipeline for Yuri!!! on Ice, so if you're interested, come find my fics on AO3, name's the same.
