Please don't hate me. I know that I have been away for a long time.
I kind of cookie cutter replied. Sorry for that - there were just so many messages. I tried to individualize the responses as much as possible while still including the same info.
I will now impart that info to the rest of you so that you ALL know what is going on with the Sequel to My Own Interrupted Iowa.
Unfortunately I've had to put writing on hold for the time being. I found out my son was suicidal a few months ago and... well, family comes first. To make a long story short, it came out suddenly, and I'm just so grateful that he told us. Especially in light of the fact that there have been two suicides in our community since he confided in us and both suicides were kids his age. One of them was a friend of his, and the other was a cousin of a different friend. That really hit home with him and with our family. We have gotten him into counseling and he is doing much better now. We are moving this month to be closer to my mom, and my older son is moving in with us to help out and be at home when I'm not so that I don't have to worry as much. I'm hoping this will help and things will calm down.
I'm in charge of the fundraiser for the local theatre that I'm involved with, which is coming up in May - but after that, I should once again have some free time.
I do have a couple of chapters of the sequel written, I just want more written before I post so that I don't leave you all hanging.
Thanks for understanding. I have the best readers in the world. All of your pms were so supportive and understanding. I couldn't ask for more.
In the meantime, I found out that My Own Interrupted Iowa was nominated for an award for favorite complete fanfic.
It's a Fanatic Fanfic Multifandom Award.
If you feel so inclined, voting is open from March 31st - April 14th.
Here's the link.
Keep your fingers crossed, and watch for the MOII Sequel and an SPN Wincest fanfic this summer.
