How does a freelance writer and editor who also writes poetry end up writing fan fiction? It happened this way...

In the case of "Roswell" it was because I LOVED its first season on televison and thought it had tremendous potential. The last two seasons were very disappointing, I felt, because of all the dangling threads and plot holes. The series finale managed to pull most of it together in a satisfying way, but I had already begun writing... so my version is quite different. It was posted elsewhere during the run of the series, but I am adding it here in case anyone is interested. Those stories were my first foray into fan fiction.

Like many others, I loved the "Twilight" series of books and movies... especially the books. As indicated in the story notes for "High Noon", I felt that there were some unanswered questions after the books ended. It seemed to me that there was an inevitable showdown somewhere at some time in the future -- hence the title.

By the way, I've noticed that I don't get many reviews from my readers. That can, of course, be either good or bad. You may think that I am not interested in reviews as I don't actively ask for them in each story. Like all writers, I would really like to know your opinion. If you would take a moment after finishing a story to share your thoughts, I would appreciate it.

There are so many talented writers on this site and some still write fan fiction even after being published in the 'real world'. That says a lot about these alternative worlds. I, for one, will keep reading and appreciating all the gifted storytellers.
