Author has written 1 story for Host.
Hello everyone. Thank you for taking an interest in my story and taking the time to read my profile...thingy.
I will apologize in advance for the mistakes I have made in my writing. Through my Writing of Fiction class I have realized how much time it would take for me to edit my work to my complete satisfaction - that is, way more time than I am willing to put into it. However I would like my work to be enjoyable to read, so if my mistakes become distracting I do hope you will tell me so I can step it up. Please and thank you.
As A Human The going is slow, but I am working on As A Human. Even from the beginning I wondered how I was going to get Wanderer and Melanie to the caves. Ironically it was the movie The Host that gave me inspiration. Ironic because I couldn't make it past the car crash scene in the desert, it was just too painful. But my criticism of the movie's casting, costuming, etc. gave me some ideas, to my great delight. However, I quite unfortunately must reread The Host so I don't get the true character of Wanderer mixed up between the book and the movie. Seriously, they made Wanderer so weak! Rides the Beast is no weakling! Anyway - stay tuned.
A story that I am contemplating is a Hawksong fanfiction tentatively titled "Everything" - referring to what Danica Shardae answered when asked what she would give up for peace. In this story Danica is not the heir to the Tuuli Thea throne, but is instead the younger sister, second in line for the throne. The storyline follows the trail of "what if Danica married Zane without being the Tuuli Thea". It's been on my mind so I might write it in it's entirety . . . or not. I really don't want to be an author that starts stories but never finishes them.
"Are you under the impression that chivalry is dead or are you actively trying to kill it?" - Edward said in a story I read here on fanfiction, but I cannot remember which story it is from. If anyone ever happens to read this and can tell me which story it is from it would be very much appreciated. :)
"Well, my sisters a ship. We had a complicated childhood" Simon explains.
Jayne - "Not as deceiving as a low down, dirty...deciever."
Mal - "Well said. Wasn't that well said Zoe?"
Zoe - "Had a kinda poetry to it sir."
Zoe: "I don't think anyone smiles in hospitals."
Mal: "Course they do, it's the Core. Everyone's rich and happy here, why wouldn't they smile?"
Simon: "No. But I'm thinking about growing a big black mustache. I'm a traditionalist."
Mal: "Define interesting."
Wash: "Oh god oh god we're all gonna die?"
Mal (over the intercom): "This is the captain. We have a...little problem with our engine sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then...explode."
Simon: "You are talking to a doctor."
Zoe: "Either blow us all up or rub soup in her hair. It's a toss-up."
Wash: "I hope she does the soup thing. It's always a hoot, and we don't all die from it."
Jayne: "Wha-...are you-are you sayin' she's a witch?"
Wash: (sarcastically) "Yes, Jayne. She's a witch. She has had congress with the beast."
Jayne: "She's in Congress?"
Wash: (amazed) "How did your brain even learn human speech? I'm just so curious."
Zoe: "You live in a space ship, dear."
Mal: "Way I remember it, albatross was a ship's good luck, 'til some idiot killed it." (to Inara) "Yes, I've read a poem, try not to faint."
Zoe: "Shoot 'em?"
Zoe: "Planet's coming up a mite fast."
Wash: "That's just cause I'm going down too quick. Likely crash and kill us all."
Mal: "Well, that happens, let me know."
Zoe: "The ugly one, sir."
Mal: (beat) "Could you be more specific?"
in huge combat boots." (to Kaylee and River) "Shut up!"
