Author has written 5 stories for House, M.D., and Queer as Folk.
I never know what to put on these things, so here's some basic information about me:
I'm English (complete with accent), as well as being female and straight. I (mainly) read slash and that's all I write. (I say write, I'm still not 100% comfortable or confident writing sex scenes). I do try to use American words/phrases where I can and I therefore apologise if the odd English word/phrase slips in. Likewise, due to living in Canada for 6 months, I'm sorry if it sounds Canadian instead of American. (But seeing as Qaf was filmed in Canada and has Canadian actors, it shouldn't be that big of a deal, right?).
After several years of reading fanfic, I have decided to take the plunge and start writing them and thanks to the wonderful reviews my first story got, I am continuing (eventually). I have little confidence in my writing, but I am determined to persevere. I'm stubbon like that.
I tend to fixate on one pairing at a time, which currently Brian/Justin (QaF). I discovered them around christmas by going through the list of gay/lesbian films on amazon (I was, and guess still am to some degree, going through my gay film obsession) and got hooked. I am strictly Brian/Justin (I tried reading Brian/Michael once, just to see and I just couldn't do it).
I hate stories where either Brian or Justin are too OOC, like where Brian is suddenly saying I love you every 5 secs or in AU stories where Justin isn't the confident, semi (well, full) stalker he is in the show. I started reading one fanfic, but had to stop because I couldn't stand Brain calling Justin Sweetness. (I do apologise if that's your story and you are reading this. It's nothing against you personally, it's all me and my lack of ability to accept things that don't happen in the show. I am totally the person who complains if the film is different from the book it was based on instead of just accepting there will be differences).
I love stories by Predec2, InconspicuousBunny, julesmonster, and nothing-rhymes-with-ianto along with many others. It is because of their stories (stories I wasn't originally going to read, because they were AU or whatever, but did anyway because I like the author) that I have stayed up until 1/2am reading, because I just couldn't stop.
So, finally I've written the story I've been thinking about for the last 5 months. Woo! I have a couple more What if? type stories I want to do, once I work up the confidence to do so.
Due to following/having read several fics based on films and recently watching Never Been Kissed, it got me to thinking about doing a fic based on said film. I then remembered I lack the motivation (and writing ability) to write a multi chapter fic. Guess I'll just have to add it to the list of ideas I have but haven't figured out how to make them work as an actual story, opposed to daydreams.
I think that's everything you need to know about me. What I do or how old I am (21 incidently) or whatever shouldn't affect how you view/judge my stories.
