I am an avid reader of FF love to see all the talented people out there.
How i chose my FF well I used to just start reading anything that interested me and was complete.
then i began reading stories that WIP (always shakey about that one) after starting alot of good stories that seem to be abandoned I became a little more aware.
So now i read reviews and i check the writer If i see alot of apologies for taking so long to update I will abandon the story and not bother .
I also check and see how many stories they have started and left hanging . ( not a fan of incomplete work) if they have several that are started and have alot of stories imcomplete i tend to shy away from them.
Also if you truely want an honest review (not disrespectful ones) you cant always just exspect to read all the good ones and get upset over the bad ones. theres a song from way back in the day and verse that goes somthing like this " dont ask me what i think of you ,I might not give the answer that you want me too"
i dont like it when stories are held hostage for reviews, it's disrespectful to the readers.
i know in my faves i have alot of incomplete works , Some are from before I learned my lesson of not check the history of the writer, some are so good i cant stand to not wait. (this is not always the case )
If I review a story I try and always give positive feed back . sometimes i follow a story for a few chapters before I decide if I like it.
If i find a plot good but the writing not so much I will usually try and leave a review that refelcts that. Some writers tend to write robotic chacters. ( i like personality)
anyway i hope this helps whoever might read it to choose some good FF , also maybe to help the writers get some perception on what a reader wants (in this case myself, cant speak for others)
There are some great writers on here and alot should not be wasting there time on FF ,they should be writing and getting paid for it. But I thank them just the same for sharing it with us.
