Author has written 22 stories for Riddles of Epsilon, Naruto, Night World series, Dragon Age, Pokémon, Harry Potter, and RWBY.
Hiya, I'm Helen (or Hez, whichever). I've been writing for years (literally since I first grasped the concept of a story - I made my dad type up what I told him. If I recall, my first story was about a unicorn... or an elephant, I can't remember which came first). I'm a English and Creative Writing graduate, and a Writing Master's student.
I've been interested in books for life, anime since Pokemon (I was always late for primary school because I insisted on watching the whole episode before going to school. Thankfully we only lived around the corner from school), and manga since early in high school. I started playing the piano (well, keyboard) in primary school, but found the lessons useless since all I learnt in a few months was 'What shall we do with the drunken sailor?' and the Titanic theme tune (which I taught myself). My dad then took over my keyboard lessons, and thankfully I've become far better since then.
My first fic is a Riddles of Epsilon one, a fantastic book which (as far as I'm aware) doesn't get the attention it deserves. I'm also a big fan of Dragon Age, Naruto, Night World, Final Fantasy (VII in particular), and too many books to name here. Really - my bookshelves are overflowing and I must have given near a hundred books to my primary and secondary school libraries. I have now posted fics in most of these fandoms, and there might well be a Final Fantasy fic on its way at some point to complete the list.
News Update 13/05/2016:
It's done. The Ghost of You is finally finished. A little over a year later than planned, but I think it needed that time for me to do the ending justice - I only hope you all agree with me!
In other news, I'm posting my fanfiction on Tumblr. You can find me as yanagi-uxinta over there, I've tried to post links but FanFiction.net messes with them unfortunately.
I am also taking part in a series of vlogs with my friends and fellow Creative Writing university graduates, which is basically a bunch of writers talking about writing. We've got a few general videos up at the minute, but we'll soon be posting 'How-To' videos specifically on improving your writing and the things to take into account while writing. You can find our website by googling 'otherworlds the writers forum'; ours are the first results up.
