Author has written 36 stories for Avatar: Last Airbender, Legend of Korra, Mass Effect, and Jurassic Park.
About Me: My name is Sierra, I'm 19, and I would always rather in be in Las Vegas than my current location. I am very in love with flowers, positive thinking, horror films, Lana Del Rey, reading, doing the Time Warp again, energy drinks, RPG games, all sci-fi, deserts in summer, the mountains of Montana, pale pink, Tarantino movies, weddings, Disney, Hunter S. Thompson books, dark comedy, kittens & ice cold showers.
About My Fics:
General: I write multichaptered fics exclusively for the A:TLA/LoK fandom, and they are pretty much all romances, albeit with structured plots other than just the love story. I'm a planner, and always wind up making detailed outlines before I sit down and (likely) binge write a fic in a sleepless weekend. I always write in the traditional narrative arc of exposition, rising action, climax, falling action and then catharsis. And sometimes I admittedly have a three act structure. My jokes can often be very black/gallows humor, since that's what I find funny, but I try not to be tasteless about it. I really like butterfly effect AUs, making the antagonist into the protagonist without excusing their evil acts, and love redemption arcs.
Updates: Everything I post is prewritten, although the chapters/stories go through several drafts, so the stories are edited, flexible, and I'm really open to suggestions and fixing any long-term issues I didn't notice. There might be an occasional delay depending if on the chapter goes through two drafts or twelve, but since it's already written, all fics will be completed and updated regularly.
Darkfics: I want to cover this, since I've written a few darkfics, and Tyzula Redemption can get heavy. I avoid character death and graphic descriptions of violence. If I write about rape, abuse, torture or any other traumatic events, they will never be for angst alone or ignored. As a person who has struggled with PTSD for years with multiple relapses, I take my time and keep repercussions in mind. And I always try to balance the darkness with light.
Azula Redemption: I really love Azula Redemption fics. I like protagonists with redemption arcs in all media (Claire Dearing in Jurassic World, anyone?) and so when I write plots centered around her, they always involve her redemption. I do love Tyzula!Redemption stories, but I don't write the love as a magic cure. I like to write it as Azula seeing who she really is reflected in others, like Ty Lee or Zuko, in the way she can't see herself. Of course, that takes time and Azula doesn't always see her reflection very accurately.
Romances: My romances are usually about characters who need to grow and change in order to properly be together, because I find it interesting to write. I strongly prefer writing about couples falling in love for the second time around, after the end of their relationship or long separation, instead of writing about the first time. I like realistically flawed and difficult relationships, but with an optimistic slant. Drama, break-ups and conflict aside, I love fluff so much, and write copious amounts of it.
Shipping: I definitely multiship, and I like to experiment with pairings, but while I'm up always for well written crack couples, I prefer canon ships and ones that have strong canonical evidence and moments of chemistry. My preference for writing is femslash, but I read and ship lots of het too.
My beloved OTP is ~Azula x Ty Lee~ and I also ship:
I promise a happy ending in every multichaptered fic. In the words of Aro Volturi, "I do love a happy ending; they are so rare."
Notice: (soon to be) Home of sidefics, copious Tyzula oneshots and drabbles, and edited reposts of old fics: my new drabble account.
