Long, long ago, there was a girl who fell in love with words. She devoured anything printed back before internet was the norm. In one fateful day she discovered RPG. Absorbed into the world of absolute fantasy, she went to traverse every inch of the map with abandon. Every story came to an end, eventually, but she craved for more, to meet the characters and world she had grown to love once again. With the help of mighty Mr. Google, she found FFN. The rest, like they said, is history.
Welcome to her sanctuary.
The name's Melody. I write for a lot of fandoms, as you can see above, but nowadays mostly reside in Suikoden. There should be no question as to why I was charmed to Arslan Senki recently, and I stand firm that every Suikoden lover should check this title out. Fantasy is my genre of choice, so should you have anything worth recommending, feel free to PM me.
Regarding my fanfictions, most of them are canon-compliant, the rest being the what-ifs. I am interested in AUs and respect authors who had successfully done so, but do not have plan to write my own in near future. Requests and prompts accepted, as long as it pertains a fandom or character(s) I'm versed in. While I don't usually do romance more than what depicted in the original source, I would occasionally try such pairings if asked (example would be my attempts on Camus/Valeria and Miklotov/Anita for satsukiyurami). Unfortunately, if you're seeking someone to write your favorite F/F or M/M couple or something rated more than T, you are advised to try another author. I am of age, doesn't meaning I'm comfortable to write (or read, or discuss) such scenes though.
As you can see, my collection comprises of short oneshots. I lack planning and dedication to actually finish a multi-chaptered fic, something I am trying to address. Compared to most authors I know, I too don't have talent in amping up the word count. If you know how to average 3k words in your stories, you are welcome to share tips. I do more character studies than actual stories with proper arcs. Outside fanfiction, I dabble in poetry and essay.
I try as I might to reply reviews despite the tardiness, so if you are asking questions in your review, please do so without being anonymous so I know who to get back to. Constructive criticism is highly appreciated. I would be delighted when people point out my mistakes, especially on characterizations and canonical details. Unfortunately, if you're reading older fics of mine, especially circa 2012, pointing out the grammar errors by now would be somewhat moot because I have recognized those glaring mistakes over the years. I have no intent to fix them, and they are still here solely for archival purpose. To be honest, I've flirted with the idea of taking them down for a while.
That should wrap things up. If I happen to share your taste, drop me a PM and let's talk!
