About Me: Hi. I’m Christy. I love to read—whatever I can get my hands on. And I love to write. On whatever I can get my hands on. I love Fanfiction because it allows me to marry the things that I love to each other, and me to be married to them in my writing. Or something like that. So it's amazing. I love writing and the deep, deep angles that it can explore--the convictions it can create, and the dreams that it can spin. But I hate writing when it becomes something that eats you. I'm not a writer. Seriously no. Writing is something that I love, but it's not a God-given passion that I want to make my life. But even so, I still get wrapped up in it, because I can get wrapped up in everything.
I love Jesus.
I speak Spanish.
The way to my heart is usually through my hair or a song.
I'm in college and papers sometimes trump this stuff.
About Words: I just found out that there is a Fanfiction category for the new Hawaii Five-0. I'm psyched, and thinking about writing something, because I haven't found any really super good ones. I firmly believe in no relationships between Kono and the team members. [Grace Park agrees with me...] It's gross, and it would change the whole dynamic too much. Original characters are best, but I think that since there isn't much romance on the show, there should only be teases in fanfiction as well, right? Plus, there are way too many cool backstory angles to care about who kisses who.
I love The Phantom of the Opera, but I hate Christine most of the time, because I'm an intolerant person who should probably get over things, to be honest. So I haven't written any Fanfiction, and if I did, you'd probably all think I was nuts. I love Raoul, and I believe that there are ways to write for Erik's character that stay true to his personality, and that perhaps, Christine was his only love, and we should all get over it, because he wasn't hers. If I ever write a story for Phantom, it will be something of that nature, or only about one character or something, because I think that people get too wrapped up in the triangle, and the fluff of Victoriana. Let's be authentic, number one. Second, slash between Erik and Raoul makes me vomit inside. It's disgusting. Smut is also gross.
I am writing a fanfiction for The Dresden Files. I'd love reviews and comments. I came to it through the TV series, and that's how it will be based. I read the first book, but I loved Paul Blackthorne too much for me to be swayed to the book-form. I love the concept of a more mysterious-less-love-soaked write/read. And I like the tone of the series.
So that's what I'm working on!
"I would define, in brief, the poetry of words as the rhythmical creation of Beauty."
