In my own personal experience, writing is a hard and painful mind fuck of a process that is both life saving and soul sucking. So naturally, it's fun as hell.
However, with the help of my handy-dandy Beta, I hope to bring you a fic that is worth reading from beginning to end and hopefully, twice over. I'm not a writer by any means so perfection in written form (no matter how much I wish for it), will not happen.
I really struggle with writing. That Stephen King quote? My boyfriend sent it to me when he realized how close I came to quitting. I have this story in my head, I wish I had the skills to get it out. I hope I find the right words to describe what I see. I dream about writing a story worth remembering, of a perfect line that speaks volumes.
This whole process has been difficult. I know I'll look back on it with fond memories and smile.

Inquiring minds asked and now I answer. The following questions were asked by anons on my blog. I felt they were valid and best answered here. All opinions are, for better or for worse, mine and will be used throughout any and all future works. No disrespect is intended. The questions are summarized below.
Why did you characterize Sirius like you did?
I love this ship, but I feel that the fandom is severely lacking. Clichés have run amok and because of it, fics have a tendency to mirror each other. A common and I feel, overused plot device, is Sirius' characterization. I love Time-Turner fics with Sirius/Hermione. Together they are perfection and I swallowed every fic I could upon discovering this pairing. Over the years however, it became obvious that the majority of Sirius' persona involved pranks, puns and cheap one liners. I began to feel that the damaged character we met in canon was reduced to nothing more than a neutered version of his former self.
The "cool" Marauder we witnessed in Snape's Worst Memory had suddenly been turned into a silly, damn near cartoonish character and all in the name of romance and pranks. I grew to dislike the sweet, puppy dog thing. As a woman, I prefer a strong man for a partner. A person who challenges me, pisses me off one second and makes me laugh another. Someone who makes me better and helps me grow. The way Sirius is written in the majority of fics, truth be told, is not that. I know I would get annoyed by him in real life. Who this fandom has turned Sirius into, as he is represented 95% of the time is the fandoms greatest flaw I think. This pairing would be great if it just stopped thinking of Sirius as a sweet, funny guy and saw him as the complex character J.K. gave us.
Fact is, if he were real and his personality was as most fics have written him, I'd feel like a dog owner rather a girlfriend. I think Hermione would feel the same. Adding to that, I don't see my Hermione, damaged as she is, tolerating such an immature man. Beyond that, the Marauder persona Sirius has been stuck with wouldn't have fit Silver.
Will there be a Sirius/Hermione/Remus Triad?
No. I am not a fan of polyamorous fics. They are not my thing. I've never read that type of fic and will never write that relationship type. Personally, I see it as wishful thinking because canonical characterizations wouldn't allow for triads I think. Hermione is very jealous for one and I don't see her sharing. I see Sirius and Remus both as alpha male types and I don't see them being okay with the other touching their girlfriends. Honestly, I think it'd only put strain on their friendship. Pack bonds and mate bonds and all those clichés, just read as excuses to me to justify the three of them being together. Either way, it will not be a thing I write ever.
As a side note, it is for that reason that I gave Remus a fuck buddy in the form of Dorcas. For the anon who asked about my headcanon interpretation of her, my answer is Lupita Nyong'o. She's been my Dorcas from day one. She's gorgeous and I love her.
Why First Wizarding War and not Marauder's Era?
In my quest to avoid as many clichés as possible, I had to go against the tide. In the realm of SB/HG, Time-Turner fics it meant staying away from Hogwarts. Naturally, the only other options were during OotP or the first war. I decided if I was going to write, I was going to give it my best and between the two, the First Wizarding War posed the greatest challenge. Besides that, I wanted a story that focused on realism. A gritty story that showed us the war in a new light, that wasn't about pranks and jokes and that turned the famous Marauders, human.
What is Silver about?
It's a story about time travel. About finding life and love in unexpected places. It's about war and fighting. Silver is all these things at once and not at all.
Ultimately, at the very heart of it, Silver is about Hermione healing.
