I read. I read for fun, for school, for work. I read because it places me in a world that is not my own. Allows me to fall in love with characters, and situations. To have an adventure that would otherwise never be possible. I read because I like stories, my story, your story, fictional characters story. We all have a story, and I would love to read about them all.

I write. I write because I have something to say. A character inside me begging to be let out, to let their words be heard. I write, because I have a duty to tell the story inside me that has yet to be told. To let other lovers of stories read it, and to feel it as I have felt the countless amount of stories that I have read.

I enjoy fanfiction, not only for fandom. Or for non canon ships. Not because I am gay, and it's the only place that I can see my favorite characters take a foray into homosexuality. But for the stories. All of these characters, that we love, and cherish, they have something to say. Sometimes the writers of the TV show, or the movie, or the book, they aren't letting the characters tell their full story. But we are. We give them life, love, and feelings that they so often get denied. We see something more in them, something more than even their creators see. We allow them to flourish in only a way that we can.

So writers, readers, and fanfic lovers, do not ever stop. Continue to tell the stories, and breathe life into these otherwise stagnant characters. Continue to write, regardless of work, school or haters. Pour your heart out, and share your feelings with your favorite characters, because I would love to read about it, and I will do the same in hopes that I can bring a little joy to a reader that so many writers has brought to me.
