This is my soul
My soul was once bright
So bright it was everyones light
Until one day it was dark
Darker than dark
Now all there is is pain
I am damaged
Damaged beyond repair
For I am broken
So much more than broken
I am shattered
Shattered into a million pieces
One million tiny pieces
Pieces that once formed a whole
A whole that was beaten
Above is a poem a wrote a couple years ago. I'm not a poet by any means, it was just how I was feeling.
So not to long ago I watch the series Firefly, along with the film Serenity, and let's just say...LOVE IT!!!! MY brother says: "Why is it that you all of a sudden like Sci-Fi?" For the record, he's been asking this of me for what's going on six years now. The thing is, I grew up loving Sci-Fi. I didn't always admit it, because as a little girl, desperately trying to fit in with the other little girls, you don't tend to do things they don't like. I got over that. I say I grew up loving Sci-Fi, but really I grew up watching Star Trek. All of life's lessons are wrapped up in Star Trek. Everything you need to know, to be a decent human being, you learn watching Star Trek. Anyway, My brother and I have the typical brother/sister relationship, and that is to bug the life out of each other. So I guess he's always known that I liked Sci-Fi, he's just being a little shit about it.
Anyway, back to Firefly. It's really the first Sci-Fi series that I started to watch on my own. And now it's become an obsession, like most Firefly fans, I would imagine. With only 14 episodes before being cancelled, there is a lot of things that never got covered. I must say I'm very surprised at the lack of Fics there are.
So whenever inspiration hits, I will be writing short stories for Serenity. Kaylee and Simon are definitely my favourite couple, however, there will definitely be some Zoe and Wash moments, and some Mal and Inara moments in there too. I would right a chapter story, but to be honest, I can never finish what I started.
I hope you enjoy reading what I put out there. as a new author, I look forward to reviews. Good or bad. And if there is anyone interested in beta-ing, let me know.
