All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.
Okay, Okay. I have a certain weakness for socially awkward angels and baby-faced hunters. Or, for those who wonder what I'm talking about, I have fallen irrevocably in love with the Supernatural fandom. It has happened. I am now a cult member of one of the craziest and nicest fandoms I've met on this site. I'm a pretty avid reader and I try to give as much constructive criticism I can when looking over a piece, original or fanfiction. I've stumbled across some really amazing writers for this site and thought I'd give a quick shout-out to them. Hopefully people who happen around my profile actually give them a look-over, too. You won't be disappointed!
Connie Nervegas - She's got a degree in anthropology and creative writing and puts it to good use for the TMNT fandom. Though I have tried to expand her work to other fandoms, she's thankfully started original work and has been busy with that as of late. But a lot of her work is completed and a blast to read! So check it out.
dances-with-cacti - He doesn't have a lot of pieces up right now, but he is more than established as a great writer in his own right! His current Supernatural story, Servant of Heaven and Son of Cain is just a white-knuckled rollercoaster of awesome. Seriously. Stunning character portrayal, crisp and streamlined plot, and engaging narration!
celinenaville - She puts the heart in Supernatural. It is in there, just under seasons of blood, sweat, and tears. And lots of fire. Mostly on ceilings of nurseries, but hey, this author does more than make up for the crippling gruesome-daddy-issues of the show and writes them in a more humane and empathetic setting that's just fun to read.
The Law of Conservation of Energy - This is my favorite story by peroxidepest17 and it's a must-read for any Destiel shippers. It's very light and has a somewhat slow burn to their character building, but it's worth the 90,000 words! An amazing epic tale that really captures the chemistry between two amazing characters.
How A Righteous Man Raises A Rose - This is from swordsofmymouth on livejournal or AO3. It... I just don't know the words. This is one of those rare fanfiction pieces that just reads like classic literature. It's beautiful and poignant and I couldn't stop crying for hours afterwards. Again, another Destiel masterpiece.
Oneiroi - This is from McLachland. Where... where do I even BEGIN? Again, another Destiel romance. But the "Romance" isn't the main focus here. There's actually a lot of Castiel and Sam development, which was amazing. The writing is glorious. The mythology is supreme. All around an amazing piece of writing that I can't stop reading.
Named - Another one from McLachland. Okay, so I thought Oneiroi was the best Destiel story in terms of a romantic-epic story of epic proportions. Now I have no fucking idea because this just blew me away. I read it in like eight hours. Overnight. Both of these stories are found on LiveJournal. You can probably use Google to find it. Do it.
For me personally, I live in Michigan, United States. I'm going to college currently. So there's that. I live with four cats and my best friend, Connie Nervegas, and possibly lifetime partner in the most platonic way possible. My car is demonic in nature. I would wash it with holy water if I didn't need it to get to school and, you know, drive around. You can fine me under the same Username on Facebook if you want to hit me up to chat. I'm pretty open with anybody. Actually, I'm just as bad as Misha Collins where I'd be more than happy to give out my personal contact information like phone number, mailing address, etc. I think he's my spirit animal.
