Author has written 1 story for Sookie Stackhouse/Southern Vampire Mysteries.
I am 36 years old. I work for a humanitarian aid organization in disaster management. I lived in New York City, NY, for 11 years, and I now live in Silicon Valley, CA. I have worked as an investment banker and in several places in Asia and North America.
I've always been interested in the supernatural and the occult and started reading erotica long before I understood what sex was. Though I cut my teeth on classic gothic stories and vampire tales, I find the Southern Vampire Mysteries wonderful and fun! It speaks to the romantic in me.
Otherwise, I've taken all kinds of writing classes -- essays, creative writing. I've worked as a copy editor for a school newspaper. I know my reviews are long-winded, but I sincerely hope people find them useful.
I'm a big believer that we're all storytellers a la Joseph Campbell. Eric and Sookie is a pretty classic love story, comedy and lemons aside.
Thank you, ladies, for your wonderful stories!
I am now a beta! Please write if you'd like some help.
I've been thinking lately about one of my favorite vampire short stories of all time. It's called Bite-Me-Not or, Fleur De Feu (1984), by Tanith Lee. You might also want to check out the Flat-Earth Series, by Tanith Lee, which has some wonderful stories, including a vampire story of a family of incestuous, cannibal vampires who prey on the living.
While we're talking about classic vampire stories, see if you can get a hold of Carmilla (1874), by J Sheridan Le Fanu. Don't forget Anne Rice. Can't forget her.
I am writing a story for the Poppin' Cherries contest.
