Author has written 2 stories for Twilight. Okay, about me... 30-something surgeon/Navy wife/former Navy officer. Read Twilight on a plane in 2008, hooked immediately. I have been a strong Twific devotee for years. So, I decided to use my extremely itinerant military lifestyle as inspiration. Hence, the varied settings of my stories. I used to be a fixture on the Twilighted forums but my husband staged an intervention after one of his deployments. I still love to read, and my iPhone is practically glued to my hand. My Favorites list has all my favorite completed stories on it. I only list completed stories here because, of my two RL friends who actually know about fanfic, one refuses to read anything that's not completed. I get that. I highly recommend all listed here. There's definitely some angsty ones on the list, but at least you will not have to deal with the angst of waiting for an update! Me, I don't mind stewing while waiting for an update. I currently don't want to translate my stories. Not that anyone has asked. But, still. I'm trying to relearn Spanish, so that might be an option if I ever get there. The Homestead: You can learn more about The Homestead Resort at www. thehomestead. com (remove spaces). Most of the non-Twilight characters in my story are actual historical figures. There was a fire there in 1901, and there was also a unsolved murder there in 2009. The victim was actually discovered in the kitchen. Make of that what you will... The former executive chef at The Homestead is the son of my husband's host parents while he was at the Naval Academy, which I didn't know when I started writing The Homestead. Weird, huh? Last time I was there, they inexplicably upgraded me and my husband to the Governor's Suite (3000 sq ft)! Do you think they knew I was the author of The Homestead? Eye on the Prize: You can learn more about The Blue Angels at http://www. blueangels. / (remove spaces). I highly recommend a trip out to see them perform; they are truly spectacular. UPDATE 7/13/2014: This story has been pulled, sorry to say. It is not being published unless you can convince someone to do that for me:)! It just had to come down. Thanks to everyone who enjoyed it and let me know through reviews. UPDATE 12/6/14: This is being reposted only temporarily. Two chapters a day until 1/4/15, then it will be removed again. Don't talk the fact that this story is available again up too much, pro favor... Cullen House: Check out www. newportmansions. org for a link to information about and photos of the Newport, RI mansions featured in this story. Cullen Island is completely fiction, but I imagine Swan Court to be somewhat like Rough Point (Doris Duke's mansion) and located along that area of the Cliff Walk. I was amused to learn while researching this story that there is an actual Hunter House in Newport, and it is relatively modest compared to the grandest mansions. Designated Hitter: I am a graduate of both Rice University and Baylor College of Medicine. I think that Houston is the greatest city in America, but I'm a serious Atlanta Braves fan from birth. |
